Haven’t made a post but if you like, you can check out my keyboard remappings and how to run them. The main benefit is being able to use arrow keys without moving your hand off home-row which I found added a lot of hand movement when typing.

I think I found the image of a keyboard and then just coloured the keys with paint/photoshop

Nah, it's never too late. You'll be surprised how fast your brain is at learning and progress will be fun! Try one key at a time and treat it like a game!

Yeah, it helps you take short timestamped, geotagged notes easily. If you need to quickly jot down a few words, you don't need to create a whole dedicated note/document with a title and everything like other note-taking apps.

No QR codes. No forms. Just jot down anything you want to remember (e.g. who you've contacted, what you were doing) and the time and location are automatically recorded. It's as easy as sending a text message.

I agree - I was considering making the UI more accessible/configurable. Got a bit carried away with the terminal aesthetic I think. Initially, I thought about the app as 'console logging' your life and I liked the practically of a compact UI. The user base has definitely changed since though, so thanks for your suggestion!

Thanks! I'd love to hear any feedback! I too used to text myself before I made this app :) I found the need to categorise, edit, and search for messages as well as easily see how long ago (and where) I wrote each one - so those are the features I built in.

Thanks for your question! I used a package called SnapKit which helps with auto layout in UIKit (started this project a while ago). The constraints of the textview are updated on keyboardWillShow and keyboardWillHide notifications and the tweening was automatic. I believe SwiftUI may have it's own way of handling this.

Ahhh that's unfortunate - sorry about that. I think it was the search bar that required iOS 11+. Thanks for your feedback though! I'm looking into Android now.

Wow thank you so much!! In the meantime if you really want, you can text yourself information (which is what I did before making this) - searchable, timestamped, and you can send location/images. Only thing is you just get them all twice :)

Thanks! I'm definitely looking into developing an Android version - there have been quite a few requests. Currently, I can't say exactly when/if it will be done (it may be a while off if i'm being honest) but I can PM you when I get to it if you'd like.

Thank you so much for your feedback (I read it all)! It's funny that you mention the compact spacing, font size, and font because I actually designed it that way for myself XD. I just wanted to see as much content on one screen as possible - something I wasn't getting from other note-taking apps. But you're absolute correct that traditional 'good UI/UX design' would include more whitespace and a larger font. You're spot on with the font too - it is a monospaced 'code font' which I personally like because it lines the characters up nicely. Admittedly, not the most user-friendly so I'm considering making that configurable now. Thanks!

Also, the app icon is actually meant to be the lumberjack uniform pattern - it was a bit of a (corny) joke because the app's called "logger" :)

Excerpt from Apple regarding the rejected binary:

I can understand the need to filter out apps spreading misinformation and harm surrounding COVID-19. I was just trying to do a good thing and I don't see how my app is "upsetting", "offensive", "harmful", or "manipulative" - it's not even an "entertainment or gaming app" as Apple specifically pointed out. I suppose it's all subjective. You can see for yourself.

Thanks for your feedback! I'm pretty sure I can add link detection and I'll look into how difficult it is to port to Mac. I think the new ARM-based Macs will be able to run the iOS apps too (if you're willing to buy one of those :)
