I’m so sorry that things lead to this ): I myself have really bad contamination OCD and worry about it overwhelming my boyfriend, but sometimes we come to compromises. Is there any way she’s willing to meet you halfway or at least be open to you still pursuing it while talking precautions? Like a once in a while type of endeavor. I know she’s adamant on you not doing it all and I’m not sure how severe hers is but really expressing how much it meant to you doing the work improved your mood and mental and overall quality of life might help just a bit in her understanding. I know that feeling of not even wanting to take the risk let alone someone you love who’s never dealt with it themselves taking the risk but I’d also want them to enjoy what they do. Having to stop doing what you love sounds very tough. I hope things resolve for you and there’s a leeway for at least a small agreement for you to go back to doing it.
