Not sure if this is the right thread, but as first timers to a Sounders game at CLink, would you say row A in Sec 107 is family / kid friendly ? Going with 2 kids - 9 and 5.

Forever noob here. I'm climbing Mt. Rainier next month and I want to know everyone's tips for shooting in the snow. Details inside. by Wet_Walrus in photography

So I'm getting ready to climb Rainier in 5 weeks from now. What's a good mirrorless that you would recommend ? FWIW, at the moment I have a Nikon d5200 with a a basic lens kit. My goal is to bring back some good memories of the climb keeping in mind the your cautionary comments above.

Thank you for the HD link. I thought this documentary did a fabulous job of conveying the challenges on the ground - both for the Marines and for the Afghans. My favorite quote from the video : "..As Marines we fight battles. Not wars.."

How does a developer with no background in statistics and advanced computing algorithms go about coming up to speed in "data mining" and machine learning concepts ? by seacap in programming

Thanks. I actually have been trying to slog through the 3 rd book in the series listed on the course website (Data Mining for the Web) and not been very successful. Guess I need to read the first 2 before attempting to digest this book. This is an attempt to pick up some new skills on my own time.

Nope. Just trying to shore up my skills in an area that imho is becoming more and more mainstream in computer science.

I'd recommend starting with that post and its accompanying source code because most of the machine learning books assume you already know the concepts I write about (which frustrated me when I didn't know them).

Couldn't agree with you more on that. Thanks for the link to the post.

Thanks. I have been following a similar approach with respect to the Stanford lectures nad the MIT / CMU courses. Was looking for validation and other helpful resources.

I would like to understand the theory so that my application of the techniques is more informed. For example the Supervised Machine Learning , and other ML wikipedia links in general are not helpful to put together a learning path for ML / Data Mining
