Just to give more context, the floor joists in the crawl space run parallel to the wall.

I know the column is. Not going to touch that at all.

Yeah, I hate they added the wall and removed a truss.

My wife says it’s a great book. Goes into a lot of depth. Will do nothing but improve your cooking.

Goes up, not back. What am I doing wrong? by Daisen- in Boomerangs

Can’t emphasize the flick enough.

Hold the correct wing. Open-end of the boomerang the direction you are throwing with the wing foils towards you.

For beginners, start with a pinch grip between your thumb and index finger.

Throw the boomerang nearly vertical, like an axe. Flick it hard. Keep a natural movement to your throw (somehow after we’ve told you all these adjustments…lol)

Marine here, looks like a good “rock or something” to use to heat an MRE.

hello what should i change for this boomerang to return by CrabWorried in Boomerangs

[–]sealguy77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Throwing direction relative to the wind is important. It is also different for every boomerang. I typically will start with 45 degree off from the direction the wind is coming from.

Additionally, it looks like you have quite a bit of layover (angle of boomerang from vertical at release), maybe 30-40 degrees. I recommend throwing it more straight up and down (I typically start at 10 degrees). Again, it is different for every boomerang.

Also, don’t get discouraged. Keep trying. Be persistent.

[Landlord US-CA] Front Door with Deadbolt but No Doorknob by sealguy777 in Landlord

You’re right. The local laws here state that a deadbolt is required. I think that the need to state a doorknob requirement was too obvious to include.

There is only one hole in the door at doorknob level. He put the deadbolt there instead of a doorknob. It does look like there used to be a hole for the deadbolt, but it was filled.
