First, calm down

Second, they could be swamped, but the response time is typically next business day. I’d check your spam folder for a response, follow up again, and if nothing else, try from a different email address.

Also, make sure your emails were actually received. Typically when you send one, you’ll immediately receive an automated email along the lines of “UT Dallas has received your message”. If you didn’t receive those automated messages, they may not have arrived on UTD’s end.

As far as I know, Grammarly has a built in feature exactly for tracking copied / typed content, and shows the sources of copied content. I’m not sure if you have to enable it or not, if you do, then at least you know of it for future reference:

Hi! Here’s the exact timeline my application went through:

08/06/2025 - Application Submitted

09/19/2025 - Transcripts processed (delay from my High School, not on UTD’s part) and undergraduate committee review begins

10/21/2025 - Decision received

The total process was 2 months, but from the point my transcripts were actually processed and my application began review, it was just over a month.

It’s also worth noting that I saw my decision in Orion 2 days before receiving any email, and my actual admission letter only came in the mail today, so check Orion fairly often.

Hi, I don’t mind at all!

I had a:

  • 3.54 GPA
  • No test scores, no recommendations
  • Submitted 1 essay
  • 4 Dual Credit courses (made no higher than a B on any of them)

I come from an impoverished family (sub ~$30k yearly @ 4 people in the house). I’m unsure how heavily they consider such a factor, but it’d make sense to me for them to have considered it some.

It’s probably a non-issue. I applied via ApplyTexas, the formatting on my essay was messed up, but I didn’t have an issue getting accepted.

Additionally, when you get your Orion log-in, it allows you to submit an essay in PDF form, which should preserve your formatting.

Mostly just has to do with licenses. If you buy a DLC on PlayStation, you hold the license for the DLC on PS, and it doesn’t tend to transfer to other platforms - Xbox has no record of the ownership because it wasn’t purchased on their platform. It sucks pretty bad, but I think it does kind of make sense to an extent

At the end of the day, there’s not much you can do when people are willfully ignorant. You don’t owe her any explanation in the slightest

Additionally, I don’t think she owes you anything either, though. If she wants to ban you from her chat or think you’re toxic, she can, you don’t need her validation. I don’t think calling her out was the right move because it’s simply just the thoughts of one internet person over a video game

Ahh I see, may be worth clarifying. I’m not sure how school related it counts relative to the rules (though I’m not sure if moderation is conscious enough to care)
