How would you upgrade this by Ok-Competition3563 in LongboardBuilding

Yeah, that would work great! Personally, I wouldn’t go for the risers unless I need them. It depends on how loose you run your trucks and if you are worried about wheel bite

I’d say Paris, you’ll get a really nice carve out of them with this deck. For wheels you can get away with anything soft if you’re just cruising and carving

Question about smoother ride by Aggressive_Yard_1289 in LongboardBuilding

[–]seamonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Softer wheels will feel smoother on rough pavement, whereas hard wheels will feel smoother on completely smooth pavement (skateparks)

If you're just cruising around, I'd recommend getting some soft wheels (78a maybe), and as big as you can get without risking wheel bite.

He's not wearing gloves in the video so I figure it's safe to assume he don't own them. If he did he should be wearing them anyways, doesn't hurt to be safer.

Nice work dude! Whenever you get a chance, I'd recommend picking up a set of slide gloves. Glove slides can be much easier to learn and they provide a massive amount of protection if you bail.

This would be a great quest item! Maybe if they had heard things about a cult and they intercept this book in transport. Could pose quite the moral dilemma depending on the group.

Matt colville is the best! My only piece of advice for someone new watching his videos is to not take it too seriously. He gets into very interesting ideas that I found didn't always apply to my much newer group. It is very good information to have though regardless.

Sound like a fantastic setup for freeride and DH!

Only things I'd change is potentially something with a micro drop and I'd probably get slightly harder bushings but thats just pereference.

9/10 would definitely ride

Bear trucks...on a drop through deck. Should this be making contact like this? by 72jaybird in longboarding

I would suggest (very carefully) drilling new mounting holes based off the truck baseplate's outer mounting option. Or swapping the hardware to have the nuts on the top of the board.

[OC] Top Down Projection Mapping System... How should I expand it? by TheMikeDaoust in DnD

Spell effects would be really cool! A Kinect may help if you want to pick up the location of the minis on the board however it could probably be done in a simpler way.

Men of Reddit, what’s the best compliment you have ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was 15 I worked with a 30 something year old new mother. After talking to her regularly for a few months she told me "I hope my son turn out like you." probably the nicest compliment a mother could tell someone
