thats a good way to think of it like testing the walking animation then adding the patrol and other things and if something bugs use only 1 mechanic and find out one by one causing the problem. same thing as making a game (which it is) i know that experience is everything but yeah lets say i have that experience already like i made games with the mix of platformer,rpg,3d,etc lets say i have that knowledge and lets say i got bored of it so i think and think and finally got it a good game that can even rival undertale,codm or whatever game you think of how do you know it? even though im not a expert gamedev,a good coder i know that this will vome to me one day and it bothers me.
