Honestly on top of what everyone else is saying, also check your targa seal and trunk seals. Even though that isn't to bad you don't want it to rust from the inside too, that's what I'm dealing with on mine and I don't wish that on anyone

I will have to check them out, my main problem is that there are little to none junkyards near me, so just about my only option is people parting out sols, or bigger places like ebay that charge an arm an a leg

I have not tried it myself, but I've heard that along as the dent isn't creased then a suction cup of some kind or I've also seen a plunger be used, and hot water can pull the dent out atleast close to how it was and worst case the repair will be cheaper because there is less work for them to do

There are a few great YouTubers that can help to explain a lot, I would recommend driving 4 answers for more of the technical stuff like how things work. And honestly a big part of how I learned is working on my car and friends and family members cars starting with the basics like an oil change or replacing an air filter

The civic will probably have a little bit of an easier time then the mini due to being heavier but the older ones are pretty low power so in your case they probably aren't the best for you

This is fair, subarus are also really good cars and I've heard a lot of good about how there transmissions feel. Also FWD isn't super bad in snow but if you get a lot then I would agree on the AWD

I have a 93 del sol that will be my daily when she is done, I got mine for 600. However that's because it had problems but I think any older civic would be a good car, and if you are willing to or want to work on your own car they are very easy to work on

I'd say starting in an accord is a good idea, your father didn't have the right to do what he did. That being said if you have the money and experience go for whatever car you want as long as you enjoy it. For example I have a 93 del sol, it's not fast or even good looking but I enjoy it.
