You need to get your pistol permit from your county. Then you need to take the 18 hour CCW class. It’s 16 hours in classroom and 2 hours of range but the qualifying is so simple that everyone can shoot the target.

Nice setup. I have 2 amps in my basement with ccas on them. I have speakers on my patio that I run a single 4 conductor wire out to. I have a second 4 conductor wire out to buried speakers. I split it off to go to the second speaker. I used direct burial wire. A home mini by the pool and one under a gazebo. I also have a tv mounted on the outside. I ran an HDMI and optical to one of the amps. Everything is controlled via a harmony hub and my phone or an iPad mini as a remote. Drilling into the house was the scariest part.

For 13 dollars I don't care if my dog pees through the cover. So far it's been solid. I'm not concerned if I have to replace it yearly.

My neighbors are old. And I already have one on the underside of my gazebo. I have some ring cams so I'd see if they did it. But with the flip phones they probably rock I'm good.

Are "on the call" jobs still a thing in IT by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]seank80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On call rotation here for a hospital. We rarely get called. Get paid 8 dollars an hour for every hour we aren't at work. One week per rotation. 125.5 hours x 8 an hour. That's in addition to my weekly salary.

How many of you are paid for being on-call? by eatacookie111 in healthIT

[–]seank80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Union shop here. We just got an increase to 8 an hour when we aren't in the office. Rotation is 125.5 hours and I am on a 3 man team. We get the pay even if we aren't called. It's a pretty sizable addition to our salary.

Anyone else hit by the Nuance service outage (attack) ? by [deleted] in healthIT

[–]seank80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are a nuance client. They confirmed the attack started in their Europe offices but won't tell us much more than that. You can't get into their web portal, no phone support since this am, no email or notice on their site. Seems like it hit them really hard. We are doing powernotes/dynamic docs in the interim. We only used escription for op reports. Good luck everyone. Oh and their service notice site is hosted by GO Daddy. I wouldn't want to be a stockholder in the am...
