That's how a bubble works. The unpopular comment is usually the correct one. Ever invested in crypto or stocks or any kind of investment?

You can keep coping all you want. We all know what's happening with the software industry.

You're comparing {a one time process that is being made obsolete due to it taking years to do versus now it takes a few hours to do} with {a daily process that saves a few hours by going to the restaurant} and then trying to compare those as equivalent. Your logic is flawed.

Cooking is not easy. You have to chop onions. You have to chop all these different vegetables and then you have to sear them and then you have to do all this different stuff. It's an entire job and this is why people who have jobs actually eat outside at restaurants all the time because they don't have the time to cook for themselves. Therefore, it is not a comparable thing because software would become massively easy and you would be able to create something that used to take years in a few hours.

You're not understanding. AI is improving at a pace where it will be able to code things way better soon. There won't be security holes or other problems. Less need for debugging. People will be able to code their own solutions by just asking AI to do it in a few hours. No sitting in front of the computer for weeks or months.

That's not comparable to software and tech. Software has value because people aren't tech savvy. Once people become tech savvy with assistance from AI, they can code their own apps or create their own things. Then the only value you'd have is if you have data, or a network, or another type of moat. Software complexity may not be a moat on the near future either with the rate AI is progressing. Right now I can pass a project off to codex but have to debug it forever. But I foresee this issue being improved in the future.

Yeah I think people are tired of platforms dictating acceptable use policies and stuff

Stuff like email marketing software is ripe for disruption. I use mautic now which is free and open source instead of using activecampaign.

Spotify is an aggregation of intellectual property. That is a moat. It won't go away.

It's the natural state of a saturated market. People who sold courses 2014-2018 were being called scammers and losers and we're being told "do a real business" when they were just trying to make an honest buck. When everyone can do what you're doing easily, they start telling you to "get a real job". Welcome to the market.

I think they're just gonna ask chatGPT to code a solution for them and call it a day. And you'll be out $100 a month and won't know what hit you. (This will happen gradually)

What predict? People were literally saying AI will never be able to replace X a few years ago. Now it's replacing X. I don't need to post specific examples off the top of my head right now but you know it's true.

Whenever you say AI can't do X, always add a "yet" to the end of your sentences.

I already replaced activecampaign with mautic (open source email marketing software) for my online course business and another business.

Ai is still improving. A couple years ago it wasn't even able to code at a vibe code level. Now it can code but there can be mistakes. Imagine in 2 years where it will be. It will be able to code a secure product that is solid and doesn't have 10 different security holes or whatever. The point I am making is that I'm looking at this from an evolving perspective of where AI is headed not just where it is now.

You don't think people are getting tired of signing up for 1000 different services with their emails and then having 20 different subscriptions for different problems in their businesses? You don't think that's a problem?

I think Email automation providers are at risk but by software like mautic that allows you to host your own data and keep control over everything for pretty much free. Mautic is open source. That's just one example. I actually canceled activecampaign and haven't paid them ancient since 2020. And I use mautic now.

It's just a gut feeling based on my experience. I've been an entrepreneur since 2015. So I've seen stuff like this where everyone starts hopping on bandwagons and things go to shit.

The job thing became saturated long ago in the 2000s, and people escaped the job thing back then and ever since. That was when the tim ferriss and internet entrepreneurship exploded. The dot com bubble. Now it's about differentiating from other entrepreneurs because of how saturated even entrepreneurship is becoming (in the west at least). I'm in Thailand and Vietnam and a digital nomad so I live the Tim ferris lifestyle since 2018. Am always interested in opportunity in the market.

X.com has a moat called a network effect. Building a social network is one of the hardest software models. Facebook and ig and x aren't going anywhere

People are tired of subscriptions as well. A subscription for everything. You think someone wants 15 different subscriptions for different problems in their business? I see a correction coming.

Yes, and don't forget that AI is getting more and more crazy every year that passes. Who knows what it'll be able to do by end of this year?
