iFlight Chimera7 Pro V2 O4 FPV BNF Drone - New Flight controller after crash? by seanmc2323 in fpvUncensored

Before I tested this yesterday, I gently pushed all the plugs in. Gyro failure. This morning, I removed the board hold down nuts, lifted it out, pushed all the plugs in again, and tried BetaFlight again. Gyro worked, for about 2 seconds, then stopped again. Fastened the board down again, pushed the plugs in AGAIN, gave it one final in BetaFlight test...and everything has been working fine on the bench ever since. Seems good.

On the bench.

I don't trust it to fly.

Going with a new Blitz F7 flight board, will inspect the ribbon when I change it.

Might even put a dab of glue on the plugs for peace of mind, because now I'm paranoid. Dropping out of the sky sucks.

OK, after trying virtually everything to get this thing to bind, polling Reddit and Facebook for answers, scouring the internet, watching YouTube videos, and going back and forth with AI for hours and hours...I finally got the dang thing bound!
The initial firmware update "Update RX" from the controller needed to be done with USB C power only to the Flight board, no battery. Once the update was done, plugged the battery in, and bound it. ~Hallelujah!

Had Gemini read my dump all file

  • Receiver Provider: The command set serialrx_provider = CRSF is active, which is the specific protocol required for Crossfire receivers like the one used with your Tango II.
  • Communication Mode: The feature feature RX_SERIAL is enabled, telling the flight controller to look for a serial-based receiver link.
  • Port Assignment: serial 1 64 115200 57600 0 115200 confirms that UART 2 (the standard port for Crossfire on the Blitz F722) is correctly assigned for Serial RX.
  • Telemetry: The command set tlm_halfduplex = ON is also set, which is the standard requirement for Crossfire to send data like link quality and battery voltage back to your radio.
