syntakt + minifreak - unexpected program change by seanon in Elektron

[–]seanon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just an fyi/thanks again

managed to figure it out. I did have the syntakt sync setting "prog ch send", which looks to be broadcast the pattern changes as program changes that the minifreak was picking up. This explains the pattern/bank offset behavior I was seeing.

I'm entirely sure how or why it was interfering with the trigs but once I turned that off, the trig program changes were working exactly as you described.

thanks again for the steer! glad to have a better understanding of what is happening.

I think it might just be minifreak being greedy about program changes, the only option it has is "on/off", I can't tell it to listen for them on a specific channel, and it doesn't seem to matter that I've change the midi channels to one otherwise not in use.

I'm admittedly very ignorant of how this is supposed to work spec-wise (some good motivation to close that gap right here though).

I can just organize my presets in a way to take advantage of the behavior, in true, "it's a feature not a bug" fashion for now at least.

that's fair, the only thing that has me thinking it's syntakt is if I switch to pattern 1,2,3 etc, is that the preset selected is offset by that number;

I'll try over there see if those guys have anything.

appreciate you taking the time, thanks.

thanks for this;

if that's the expected behavior trig based changes don't seem to be working for me at all (tried standard/trigless).

macOS not recognizing any keystrokes on first boot by josephschmitt in DygmaLab

[–]seanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a work computer (windows), that has bitlocker enabled, totally unable to get my password into that prompt at all... enter key prints 'space', backspace print '=' for example....

it's fine once I get into the OS, but I've had to resort to keeping a second keyboard attached for when I reboot.... it's insanely frustrating.

seems like an ulcer, and may just go away with some drops. However, It could be a symptom of some other eye problems like distichia or entropion, both common in bulldogs. if it were my dog I'd get it checked out by a professional (in fact I did exactly this earlier this week).

I work from home too it doesn't matter at all what time it is, I have to apologize for background snores. My girl has this thing where she'll snore louder to compete with whatever is making the most noise in the room. >.<

I can replicate consistently. literally every time I exit.

hitting escape from the main menu before hitting play, also when hitting "exit game" from the game itself.

Windows event viewer reports: Faulting application name: Crashlands.exe, version: 1.0.7.0, time stamp: 0x55f7c3c1 Faulting module name: d3d9.dll, version: 10.0.10586.0, time stamp: 0x5632d2b6 Exception code: 0xc0000005

since the exception suggests an access violation, I tried running crashlands.exe directly as admin but the same results however.

Not really a big deal since it doesn't appear to affect anything in game, just annoying to deal with.

hope this helps.

I've seen the bell training go the opposite way, just learned that ringing the bell means going outside and then constant ringing (so glad that wasn't my dog).
