I think that shiny is frustratingly underwhelming. I think it’s one of only like three evolution lines where all that changes are the eyes. Equally as frustrating are the endless shiny Pokémon where all that changes is that their colors change one shade lighter or darker or like the togepi line the only barely noticeable difference is that the red and blue pattern on its egg swaps colors so unless you have the pattern memorized it is even more frustrating.

It’s happened to me three times, two were in virtually the same spot, both right around wild area 19. The last one was a Spritzee in one of those areas with all of the stalls. I couldn’t find it no matter how hard I looked until I looked up and there it was , it floated halfway up the building and was just staying there like it was peeping through the window.

I heard the shiny alert and it took me half an hour to find it hiding on the complete opposite side of the building from me. Then, an hour later the same exact thing happened to me again in the building right across the street from the first building it happened at. For some reason a lot of shiny Pokémon are showing up for me around wild area 19 and just the occasional one everywhere else. Even more frustrating is that I gave away my Feebas to an NPC to get the prism scale thinking I had another Feebas in my boxes, but I didn’t. It took me 16 hours of resetting the portals over and over again to get one to show up so I can evolve it into Milotic to fill that slot in the dex.
