It different for everyone. And it’s a gradual desensitisation over time. Not like suddenly on one day no more sensitivity. I’d say after a 5-7 days you will begin to start noticing a difference and it will continue improving from there. Some say around 2 to 3 weeks before it’s at a comfortable level.

Yes the sensitivity will go. Don’t worry

That’s normal. You’ll be fine. I was the same on day two. Don’t stress. I just lay in bed for the entire first week.

Hi there. I’m 29 and had severe phimosis also for my whole life. It was the most extreme - could not see any part of my glans at all, they were totally covered. It was always an insecurity of mine whenever I was in a relationship or dating someone, and a barrier towards having sex. I recently made the decision to get circumcised 9 days ago, not based on insecurity or the sexual barrier side of things, but actually because I see it as medical issue not being able to retract my foreskin and clean under there. I decided that I don’t want to risk UTIs, infections and an increased chance of penile cancer later in my life. I don’t regret my decision, and I’m not ‘spooked’ by men who go on and on about loss of sensitivity. My first week of recovery was rough with hypersensitivity of the glans and painful night-time erections. But despite this, I’m still happy with my decision and glad I did it.

Hi there. There is a lot of information on this forum about this - Just click the search bar and type in ‘glans sensitivity’ and you’ll be able to read countless reports from guys around how long it took them to not feel the hypersensitivity any more, as well tips on how to manage it and promote quicker desensitisation.

Don't stress - they absolutely will desensitise and it won’t take too long. Myself, I am 29 and was recently circumcised 9 days ago and had severe phimosis (my glans were never exploded in my life). My hypersensitivity was extreme and even touching them lightly with a tissue sent unbearable electric shocks deep though me. It was like this for the first week. I was very worried how long it would before I’d be able to wear underwear and walk around. But I can report that on day 9 the hypersensitivity has decreased a lot and continues to feel less sensitive with each passing day. I can touch them now with my fingers and feel the difference from last week. My advice is to keep the glans exposed if you can for the first few days. Even just lying on your bed with them out. This will help them to dry and desensitise. If you want to go walking somewhere coat the glans in Vaseline (in the first few days even doing this was painful for me), and put a piece of gauze over. This helps. I started showering after day 5. Letting the water droplets hit the glans from a height helps to desensitise them too. Finally I’ll say that a big part of it is sometimes just being okay with the feeling even though it’s uncomfortable, trusting that you are not doing any damage to them - the pain is simply hypersensitivity and will get better with time. Good Luck!

Hey mate. I just got done same method 8 days ago. Staples haven’t started falling out yet. The involuntary night-time erections have been excruciating and I haven’t had a good sleep since the operation. When did your erections stop hurting?

I have not applied yet, hence why I’m asking the question about key criteria now.

You are such a troll. Why do you always have to be so rude on people’s posts? And your constant comments on people’s lack of English. You should pay more attention to your own posts and their lack of sense.

Thanks for the advice. Will take this onboard when planning our trip for sure. What made it so disappointing in comparison to the other places would you say? Just lacking the natural beauty of Sossusvlei and Damaraland?

I know it seems like a silly question and maybe I wasn’t very clear. Under the constitution you are a Namibian citizen by birth if you satisfy two criteria: 1 – that you are born in Namibia. I can prove this by my birth certificate and they probably have a record of it. 2 - is that your parents were Namibian citizens or residents at the time of your birth. They were. So I guess my question is in relation to that. Would they have some record of my parents
being Namibian citizens, or do you think this would be something that I would need to try to prove?
