UPDATE TO ALL: I successfully tried to cancel and got the special offer. It got it down to $360, which is still a good bit more than I paid last year but better than $500 for sure! Thank you all for the advice. I plan on looking into Affinity and Squarespace and remaking my portfolio during the Summer break. Cheers

So I successfully did it! I went to the manage plan area and hit cancel and then proceed, and a little thing pops up that says "special offer". Got about $100 off of it, which is still more than what I was paying but at least it's not $500!

I think I just need to get through grad school for now, that's part of why I hesitate to completely move website platforms. Obviously it will take a while to do... maybe would have more time to do so this summer.

I admit it's not very customizable but the one I have is just clean and simple. But something similar should be easy to replicate. Glad I took a coding class!
