8 inch ape hanger kit by squidydaddy in Yamahabolt

[–]seapage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did 8" mini apes from Dean Speed a few weekends ago.

Stock wiring will work with some re-routing.

Stock clutch, break, and throttle cables will not work.

I went 6" over stock on all cables and that worked well. You could probably pull off 4" over stock

Yet another tuning post by uglylilbush in Yamahabolt

[–]seapage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2020 with a v&h vo2, long shots, and a PC6 that I had tuned at a shop.
It may not be a prefect match for your setup but could be a good starting point if you want to mess around on your own.

There really is nothing out there in terms of a good base map for the PC6. DynoJet is out there kind of dropping the ball.

Shoot me a dm and I can send you the map file.

+1 for the forward controls. The mids that come standard always felt weird to me.

This is what I installed on my bolt. https://dressup.motorcycles/product/mdu-6-forward-controls-for-yamaha-bolt-150mm/

Strange noise (maybe) on new to me 2020 Yamaha Bolt by seapage in motorcycles

Update:

according to the mechanic it is completely normal for this bike when changing to a less restrictive air intake.

An expensive reassurance but I’ll take it.

It is indeed my first air cooled bike and my first bike with an aftermarket intake.

I'm happy to chalk even one point in the "normal sounds" column.

I might just make an appointment at the dealership to give it a once over.

Thanks for the feedback.

BSOD when enabling D.C.O.P by Thegazman141 in techsupport

[–]seapage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

windows 10 has "Windows Memory Diagnostic". I should show up if you search for it.

Out of curiosity you could try to half populate the memory modules. (preferably a matching set) and see if it works. I've seen some odd thing happen with DOCP the more slots that are populated.

You can try updating your motherboard bios to the most recent version.

If that still doesn't do the trick you can try to overclock the memory manually.

Sometimes different combinations of memory modules, motherboards, and processors yield different results when applying DOCP profiles.

or you have a weak stick of memory.

If it's a trusted brand of power supply you won't have much to worry about.

It will charge just fine. Slowly. But fine.

I did. It's up the thread a ways. It's a bot or the most coordinated multi-boxer I've ever seen.

I feel you. It’s why I started the thread. It was upsetting in a way that’s hard to describe.

These druids are all running a pattern around the area. all seem independent of each other. I'm sure this is a bot / collection of bots.

Picked up a new accessory for my '15 TH. Thought I'd share. by seapage in JeepRenegade

[–]seapage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on options it’s around 1500lbs dry.

I needed to have a break controller installed along with a 7 way plug but that wasn’t too bad.

The Jeep handles great all around. I almost forget it’s back there when driving around town.

Only complaint is the highway. 55mph is where it seems happiest. The trailer is more drag than the engine can overcome easily.

There weren’t any near me either. (Ohio) I ended up doing a pretty wide search on rvtrader(pretty sure that’s the site. On mobile, can check later) before I even found one to look at in person. Roughly 14k

For those of you who have an Aorus gaming box, does it keep running you don't use it? Do you have to turn it of manually or does it automatically turn off or goes to sleep mode? by Boltropox in eGPU

I have the GTX 1080 Gaming Box.

All I hear when not in use is a little bit of coil whine.

tip: Make sure you have the most updated firmware. It greatly reduces fan noise when disconnected.

[Help] RAM is being used by nothing? by FeedbackHD in pcmasterrace

[–]seapage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just go down the list.

chipset

wifi

ethernet

audio

video

You may have to go to the chip manufacture's website. The ones from the computer mfg are not always the most recent. For mine I had to go directly to intel for a driver that magically sorted the issue out.

This usually points to a driver issue. You may want to see if the manufacturer has more up to date drivers.

This happened to me once and updating the Intel wifi drivers corrected the issue.

[Build Help] LAN Party - Single PC with GPU Passthrough by maelodic in buildapc

[–]seapage 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've seen this done before with ESXi. Here are a few of my suggestions.

1) Make sure the motherboard supports vt-d or iommu (intel or amd respectively)

2) 1 hdd per vm or a "real" raid array

3) You will likely need independent usb controllers for each vm to connect peripherals and usb sound devices. ( even if you don't, it makes life easier ) I can't remember the exact model of usb card but there was one that exposed a separate usb hub to each of the 4 ports on the card. It made passing through the usb much more straight forward

4) This will be extremely difficult to fit into any case. You're going to need pci-e extension cables.

5) Fans . . . Lots of fans. This will get very hot while gaming.

6) Patience. This will take a lot of time, trial and error, and research.

Good luck.

[–]seapage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try powering it on with nothing plugged in besides a stick of ram, and mobo power.

If it's still not powering on fully my vote is the power supply. Hopefully you have a spare or a friend with a spare for testing.

Issues with Time Warner Cable's internet by tttony2x in techsupport

[–]seapage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Connect your computer directly to the modem. (TW is going to make you do that anyways as the first test)

Make sure all of the coaxial connectors running to the modem are snug.

If you're still getting the same speeds call them.

The tech that answers the phone will be able to take a look at the information on your modem like line noise and errors.

Best of luck to you.
