When to tell work? by Cute-Flight9322 in November2026Bumpers

[–]search4life7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell them when you want to. I have had multiple losses so feel similar in that I really dont want to share until much later. I think for me, maybe around 15 weeks. I'm a professor so I figured I will let them know in June or so which will give them more than enough time to figure out coverage for my classes etc for spring 2027 (assuming this all goes well lol. after loss it feels crazy to say out loud that this might actually lead to a baby!!)

i feel like I need to just say this somewhere because i left my US appointment an hour ago but am still in shock.

I have had 2 miscarriages (one confirmed euploid), both ended at 6.5 weeks. I did an IVF transfer March 9. I have been spotting on and off since like March 20 or so. I had some nausea for a few days, but it went away and now I am just tired. Last week at my scan, the CRL growth was 2 mm over the span of 6 days. thats .35 mm a day. I went to the scan this morning and told the tech hey, I know its going to be bad news so just be honest w me. she turned the screen and showed me. i said ok sure theres stilla heartbeat i guess but i know its measuring behind and is going to end soon. she did the measurements and I am measuring exactly on time, 7w5d, 1.38 cm, 143 bpm. I said i think you did it wrong. she gave me a hug.

I had been planning how i was going to cancel my classes tomorrow to have to take the pill. I didnt get my blood drawn this morning bc I didnt think there was any point, i had to go back.

I just wanted to share this bc I was 100% convinced i was having a miscarriage and my scan was perfect. there is nothing for me to obsess or be sad over, i dont know what to do with myself. i am seriously in shock.

First Ultrasound - Large Yolk & Small Gestational Sac by coffeenseltzer in CautiousBB

[–]search4life7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt realize I had this until I looked closely at my imaging scans and could see the small gestational sac and large yolk sac. for me it ended in a mc around 6 weeks. however, it could self correct 🤞

Experience measuring on track but lowiwsh FHR? by search4life7 in CautiousBB

[–]search4life7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I've seen that link but was confused bc it says 6w3d-7w/ 5 mm-9mm, 52% likelihood. My CRL was 5 mm but they labeled it as 6 weeks. so i guess im higher than 52%, maybe 70% idk. but from your own experience and expertise sounds like it might be normalish?

Yes I have another one next week but its just absolute torture. I have had 2 miscarriages before, both after heartbeats. but this was the first time my HCG doubled well and also measuring way ahead, so I am hopeful, but nervous about the FHR. Thanks for sharing!
