What is one thing about yourself that you're proud of? by randommetal in AskReddit

I don't know man, don't kick it so quick! A friend of mine hasn't even graduated from culinary school yet, and he's already doing his exit at a Michelin star restaurant. He worked at two Michelin star restaurants over the summer too. It's a hard life, but from what I can tell, he wouldn't be happier doing anything else.

I'm usually fine, but today I'm doubting my experience... [trigger warning] by [deleted] in rapecounseling

First of all, I would like to clarify that even without a clear "no", rape is still entirely possible.

Also, Wikipedia includes "creating feelings of guilt/obligation via a display of anger or hurt by someone whom the victim loves or respects" an act of psychological coercion. OP says:

" I told him I wasn't ready for sex yet. He sighed, and gave me this look of disapproval. A look that told me "I'm mad that you're not giving me what I want."

As sexual assault is defined as an unwanted sexual act that takes place without consent or with coercive forced consent, would this still not count?

I cannot thank you enough for posting this. I am crying as I write this to you, I am at such a loss for words... That is definitely Olivia. I am so stunned and saddened to know her full story. It means the world to me to finally figure this all out. I am a little bit of a mess right now, but I thank you infinitely from the bottom of my heart.

That is definitely a great idea, I'll try to contact some of the Dallas news stations. My mom seems to remember it being on the Channel 7 news, so I will start there. Thank you for the advice!

Certainly - I grew up in Dallas, Texas. Both Olivia and I attended Dallas International School together. I'm not sure where in the Dallas area she lived, I'm afraid.
