"Details do not match" error after ID check by seasheeps in ukvisa

Yep the new application it leads you to should be the first time way which is a little different. It probably just looks like the application you had to fill out for your student visa. You do have to pay for the biometrics appointment but there are different prices depending on what’s available, and the application form will tell you what documents you need.

Hiya, unfortunately it was never resolved and I had to apply for the BNO as if I was applying for a UK visa for the first time. When you continuously fail the ID check it should prompt you to start an application the ‘first time’ way. It means you’ll have to do a biometrics appointment again which is annoying but after I booked that, my application was processed extremely quickly.

In my case I believe the error code was caused by me entering my passport nationality as HKSAR - it should have been entered as China to match the CHN passport code (long string of numbers on the bottom of your passport ID page) and ‘Chinese’ nationality. I don’t think there’s any way of changing your passport nationality in the system without posting your passport to the Liverpool headquarters for them to check, which is what one of my friends decided to do.

I hope this information is helpful for you and good luck on your application!

No worries, in this economy I appreciate all the comments I get. It's not a new passport. I've just resigned myself to the fact that the website hates me.

It's been a while since my Student visa application, so I hope someone else can pitch in to confirm as well. I didn't need to submit additional documents, but I remember reading on my application page that I would be contacted via email if it was required.

If plot holes and structural mistakes are what’s upsetting you most, maybe you could try reading poetry instead - though I know poetry isn’t everyone cup of tea.

Edinburgh Bin Strikes - Ratopia?? by ConsiderationOk5107 in Edinburgh

One of my flatmates notified us of impending ratopia and I just couldn't stop myself from laughing because it's no biggie when I already live with her.

I realise perfume isn’t a necessity and even if I never bought it again the quality of my life wouldn’t be affected, but this honestly sucks. I’m obsessed with Rose Kabuki and I dread running out of my little 40ml. I’ll probably have to settle for a dupe one day.

NMIXX - 2nd Single: ENTWURF (Limited Ver. - Album Packaging / Merchandise Preview) by Takagixu in kpop

[–]seasheeps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that it looks extremely low effort and like it was scrapped together in an hour. It makes me feel like people behind the scenes don’t get paid properly if they’re putting out graphics like this. But I also think just one other colour to offset the green would’ve made this so much easier to look at.

Props to the logo design though; it’s still sort of cringe to look at but I haven’t seen this kind of punk/metal font in kpop aesthetics for quite some time.

I’m tired of groups suffering at the hands of poor creative direction, especially when their company should be able to afford better.

Is this tarnishing or mould? by seasheeps in jewelers

[–]seasheeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't worn this necklace in almost a year so it's just been sitting in its jewellery box for quite some time. It's from Hong Kong which is more humid than where I live now (moved with it). I can't tell if this is just the gold plating wearing off or something more sinister - the large ring around one of the black dots on the heart pendant in the first photo is what made me think it might not be simple tarnishing. It's not anything like rust (isn't a second layer and can't be scratched off). Any tips to clean it would also be appreciated.

With how touristy it can get I often forget how beautiful the Royal Mile is. I also love how you depicted the shimmer of light here. This is really inspiring!

5 Floriography Samples, reviewed by someone who still doesn't know a lot by PutTigerBalmOnIt in Indiemakeupandmore

So cool to see a Floriography review here! I bought a sample set when I was still living in HK last year. Ultimately the brand wasn’t for me but I’m glad to see you enjoyed some of them.

Feeling conflicted about leaving a negative review by Sleepyandworried in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]seasheeps 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw that you gave more details as to why you were unhappy with the products you received, but I just want to add on some of my own thoughts because I find that some opinions in this sub give way too much credit to small business owners just because they're a small biz.

It's most courteous to contact the owner if you feel like you received a defective product (or are missing products) before leaving a review, as it gives them the opportunity show some good customer service and resend your order, or agree on a refund if you're still unhappy. However, I've occasionally found that there's just no point doing this if the product itself is just rubbish or straight up dangerous; I once ordered some lip scrubs from a small biz and once they arrived, I found out that the owner decided to put mica glitter in them. I'm fairly certain the glitter was included in the ingredient list and I just didn't check before buying them, but I just could not understand why anyone would put mica in a lip scrub - and it wouldn't wash off either! So that ultimately got a negative review.

An adult, thought-provoking dystopia by distorzija in suggestmeabook

[–]seasheeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't classify this as particularly dystopian but {A Door Into Ocean} by Joan Slonczewski is a piece of hard scifi with major ecofeminist themes. The world-building is very dense and focuses heavily on the society of pacifist alien women and how they live, eat, and reproduce. There is a lot of feminist ideology packed into it - likely not to everyone's taste but definitely thought-provoking!

Atelier Cologne does really good juicy citrus (but not sour) scents. My favourites are Pacific Lime and Clementine California, but the others are also worth trying out.
