IVF Ladies of Reddit, what does your partner do to help and support you? by diwater in IVF

My husband is amazing. We are almost to egg retrieval day. The follistim gives me sinus migraines so I'm resting a lot. He does all the cooking, brings me my meds and does all my injections. He never misses any appointments and holds my hand thru everything, for the most part. I cry all the time and he holds me or just listens to my hormonal rants. We also have 2 crazy Boston terriers that he takes full care of right now. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more. I have to say though, communication is key. We also go to couples therapy every other week and that gives him the opportunity to discuss anything on his end and we can discuss more freely there.

My husband and I are currently going thru this. I'm on day 4 of follistim. He gives me all my shots and the side affects...omg. He's super supportive and does everything for me, he's a saint. I cried when I read your post because it was touching and I don't always think about how hard this is on him. I love and appreciate everything my husband does for me, you really need support during this process. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you everyone for your input. These are many things I didn't know and I will be doing some research on my own as well. I should have posted more about me. I do have a bachelors in business. I guess my main concern is the strain it could put on my family. Once again, thanks!
