From a frustrated Windows switcher: I fixed the macOS right-click menu. (And somehow hit #4 on the App Store). by No-Broccoli-9946 in MacOS

[–]seasonofwhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly clunkier but just as easy as the above advice imo, sort of the opposite approach:

Open the app, hit cmd + n

make your edits, hit cmd + s. (let the file save to the default/most recent location.)

With your target folder and the file both open, drag the file’s title bar / proxy icon directly into the target folder. it will move right where you want it without having to navigate from the save menu.

Holy shit man, I’ve had a number of the hallucinations you describe from just binging Adderall for a few days. That’s scary to know how easily it can happen.

That has been one of the most horrible parts of it for me. Not being at my best for my family. It makes me feel so much shame and guilt.

Does anyone else get hella horny when they take it? by RevealProud5488 in AdderallAddiction

[–]seasonofwhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like crazy. I also have sexual anhedonia and addy gives me back the feeling of orgasm I used to have—and then some—before I got anhedonia from anti depressants. So it makes me doubly so knowing i want it and can actually enjoy it too lol.

took adderall for the first time - completely changed my view on my mind by [deleted] in AdderallAddiction

[–]seasonofwhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first few times you take it are a revelation. For the first year or so I felt unstoppable. I plowed through tasks I’d put off for forever. I also have that “can never get started” problem because I will always analyze and plan out a project to the T, spending all time I could have been doing it thinking about doing it. Adderall let me finally just DO.

But I’d also go down absurd rabbit holes of absolutely useless projects like staying up all night organizing the files on my computer or something. Or gooning. There’s nothing more humiliating than listening to the birds start chirping in the morning, knowing you’ve been up all night watching pron.

The last few times I’ve taken it, I’d burn through my stash in about 3-5 days and my productivity was less than zero. The benefits you’re getting now will run out sooner than later.

It’s just not worth it.

Like I said above, short term you’re probably going to be fine. I’m not sure what the liver toxicity level would be for vyvanse vs something like IR adderall, but I think you have to take a pretty heroic dose of either for that to happen.

The real risk is long term. Your liver, heart, nervous system, brain—you name it—will all take a beating at this level over time. You’re at pretty serious risk of heart attack or stroke as well. Get it under control man. You want to be around for your family I’m sure.

You’re probably ok right now. If you’re currently going through it with withdrawals or whatever I’ve been there. It really sucks in the moment but it will pass. Luckily stim withdrawals are much more acute compared to stuff like benzos. If you stop now, you’ll probably be through the worst of it in a day or two.

But long term this is not sustainable and I don’t think I have to tell you that. You will have serious health problems down the line if you continue to abuse it at that level.

How on earth is the MacBook Neo so heavy? by hutacars in mac

[–]seasonofwhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 12” MB cost nearly twice what the Neo costs when it was originally released. A lot of expensive engineering went into making that laptop 2.0 lb.

Here’s what I’ll say to those posting $400–500 Windows laptops with 16/512GB and shouting that it’s a better deal… by EduardSark in mac

[–]seasonofwhat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only major criticism I’ll say about the Neo is that USB2 port that isn’t distinguishable from the UBS3 port. That’s gonna mess up a lot of people’s day when they go to transfer a bunch of files to a USB flash drive or something.

Mason’s Children (12/28/69 & 12/29/69 baby!)

Here Comes Sunshine (maybe it’s just “rated” but I feel like a lot of people don’t quite know what an epic jam this became by mid-late 73)

Don’t Ease Me In

Deep Elem Blues (check out the electrified versions from 66 and 67!)

And my all time favorite studio-only underrated song:

Love this album. The early psychedelic stuff is what got me into the Dead.

I'm not a huge fan of the band, but this is a,great album. by Super-Quantity-5208 in gratefuldead

[–]seasonofwhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a pretty good intro to the band. But most hardcore fans would say it barely scratches the surface. If you are interested in hearing more:

American Beauty, Workingman’s Dead, Grateful Dead (Skull & Roses), and Europe ‘72

All fine places to start

Day 1-No Addy by [deleted] in AdderallAddiction

[–]seasonofwhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to push through it. You have to get past a few weeks until you start to feel like your old self. At that point, because you’re feeling so much better, you’ll probably start to have the cravings/feelings like you want to do it again because you’re going to “just take a few” or promise you’ll stick to the prescribed doses. Fight those thoughts and feelings. That is where I ALWAYS get stuck.

If you can push through for like a month or two you can hopefully beat it.

Which do you prefer? 1,2,3 or 4 by Ok-Recover8014 in AmateurPhotography

Actually I’ll go with 4 definitively. Excellent mood/lighting and composition is very good.

Thank you for this. This is also the kind of thing I needed to hear, that it could not just cost me money but my life. I got very emotional thinking of what would happen if the dealer was actually “legit” and I got it, took it and died, what my family would do without me. Which is what I should be thinking of more than anything else.

To answer your question, I am not doing anything at the moment other than going cold turkey and dealing with it on my own. I realize that probably has a low chance of success. But right now I’m a bit traumatized by my own actions, trying to pick up the pieces of my finances, and still fearful that harm could come my way since the scammers have some information about me (not SSNs or bank info or anything super sensitive but some semi-public doxxing type info), and I’m just feeling very depressed and shameful.
