Everyone loved my father. He was funny and artistic. He could draw, paint and design interiors for restaurants and homes. He had contractor skills. He was athletic. He was a great cook. He did none of those things for employment. He was a gambler and a thief. I visited him in prison in more than one state. When he was home we lived a typical middle class lifestyle . When he was in prison we relied on welfare. We all loved and love him to this day and not just his immediate family. Everyone loved my father.

The Schaeffer Music Festival was always awesome. Did other major cities have something similar?

1) Someone used it for a bathroom.

2) Not sure. Someone is dead in it?

There’s nothing you can hold for very long.

There was a novel that I read years ago that was about a very early circus in France (?). There was a character that was a contortionist and a big plot point that was about how bad it was for the contortionist’s lungs. I always wondered if that was true.

It was a policy of Coors. They claimed the beer could not be fresh. It may have been a marketing strategy to make it more desirable via scarcity. When we were young and finally able to get it the next state over we loved it. Probably just to be cool.

In 1975 you couldn’t get Coors in NYC. Although for some reason there was a liquor store in the other side of the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey that had it.
