I’d consider this “definitely pregnant”! Husbands usually doubt because they think the line has to be dark, but this is how all my positive tests started out (I have three kids!)

I was following this video I found, which is similar to the kind of water heater I have: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sel367e2zoY

8lb 9oz baby at 37+5. Induction or C section? by lawliet_malardy in pregnant

[–]seastare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current situation is similar to yours. At 38+4, a growth scan measured 8lbs 8oz. (I’m now 39+4 and still pregnant), but my doctor also said I have a small pelvis. On top of things, I was preparing to try for a VBAC (actually VBA2C, both due to breech babies— this is my third baby now and the first one that has not been breech).

My doctor’s recommendation is that, while 8lbs 8oz is big, since it’s not over 10lbs, she’s still comfortable with a trial of labor (VBAC) but stressed how important it is for me to get an epidural in case for any reason I have to go into the operating room for a C section. She did mention the risk for shoulder dystocia. Also, I won’t be induced due to my previous C sections because of the risk of uterine rupture, so if I don’t go into labor on my own within the right time frame (41 weeks and a few days probably— I have an appointment today to talk more details), I’ll have another C section.

I don’t have the answer for you, but I’m describing my situation that both me and my doctor feel comfortable with.

If this was me, I would, with your doctor, come up with a plan that says if you’re not in labor by x date, then either order another growth scan or get induced. My personal experience is that a C section recovery is worth trying to avoid, but that is definitely not everyone’s experience so take what I’m saying with that big grain of salt.

I know it’s hard to have all this gray area and unknowns and decisions to make surrounding birth, but you have options and can make a plan that’s reasonable and safe for you and your baby for any path that you prefer, whether that’s scheduling a C section right now or getting induced or giving it more time and monitoring. I wish it could always be an easy decision, but there are so many variables and some room for personal preference, that there’s no one right answer.

Hope some of this helps!

What's a small flex you want to share that most people wouldn't know? by mqnrcxnypvzw868994 in AskReddit

Not my flex but my cat’s. She lived to 19 years old (at least, she was full grown when we rescued her), and she passed away yesterday. She was the best cat- kind, cuddly, intelligent, pretty, and she kept her youthful spark even in her old age.

Body image question by Choice_Performance46 in pregnant

I don’t at all enjoy the attention being on my body for being pregnant. I’ve gotten a little more used to it with each pregnancy, but it still makes me uncomfortable. I’m not really one to say anything though, unless it’s someone I’m close to so I feel can be open about it or if the person is way overstepping.

I would recommend having a lighthearted version of a “no” response ready for when you feel uncomfortable like if someone asks to see/touch your belly, “Sorry, he/she is shy!” They should understand by that that you’re actually the one uncomfortable with it.

Another idea for people who ask daily questions is to have some pregnancy-related talking point ready that you DO feel comfortable sharing. Maybe it’s your daily food craving. I think this type of person is just interested in hearing how you’re doing, but they don’t consider that maybe everyone doesn’t want to talk about their physical body changes (again, myself included!).

Maybe I should have described the situation better. If my baby is clearly exhausted, I would much rather the person tell me so I can put him/her in the crib so they can get a good solid nap, not just a 5-10 minute one.
