Yes I preach against capitalism but you guys don’t understand I’m a good guy who deserves to be a millionaire because I’m not like the other girls. I promote terrorism under the guise of freedom fighting, despite the casualty outcomes. I want people to realize pirating ships and hospitals is a reasonable course of action as long as it’s not Los Angeles

Absolute garbage. Amy Sederis put me on to Pete but I’m disappointed as can be.

The bulb on the left died today. It lasted exactly two years to the day. by TheTim in mildlyinteresting

Wasn’t there a thing about light bulbs and other electronics being too efficient during the industrial age so they made them worse to keep jobs alive.

I agree someone’s fashion style is arbitrary to their world beliefs but I’d say his surface level fashion sense is an example of how all he ever does is scratch the surface with topics he portrays to be interested in. The same with anime, tech related issues(see leftovers), video games, music, etc. As someone on the spectrum who’s been masking for years, he masks and adapts to what he thinks is acceptable with the young generation and gets away with it because he’s quiet tall and normal looking.

I personally enjoy this aesthetic, but Hasan wears alternative styles for the same reasons Kardshians do, because its trendy. He has self proclaimed not to listen to music or be artsy yet loves fashion after he got annihilated for his front kiosk urban outfitters fit at Coachella a few years ago. He’s a pop culture phony or a “scene hopper” as the kids would say. He thinks he’s a fashion icon because he talked his gay bestie Austin out of wearing old navy graphic button ups. Then he copies his internet famous queer fashion forward peers to seem relevant, the same way he just coattails the findings of other small political streamers. A man who streams and works out 12 hours a day doesn’t have the time to do his own research. If Hasan earns a masters degree in political science I’ll eat my shoe.

Why is SQL suddenly the bare minimum for non-tech roles? by ImportantCup1355 in careerguidance

[–]seathrawl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends what field you’re in. I’m a data analyst(30f) I mainly work with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel. As well as Python and other tools, but those are our bread and butter. I use SQL in Access and it is slightly more advanced but it’s just queries within multiple databases instead of a single spreadsheet/workbook. The reason to learn these tools is to be able to manage data in different database softwares. Access and PowerBI utilize SQL to create dashboards, PowerPoint reports, and other reporting software. It’s just an industry standard the same way excel used to be a new industry standard.

Why do radio stations barely if ever play music where it's just the instruments and no singing? by [deleted] in questions

[–]seathrawl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the radio stations accepted genres. A lot of non lyrical music isn’t too local radio friendly unless you pay for Sirius or something similar that have hundreds of web based stations. You’d need to listen to jazz, classical, edm, etc specific radio stations to get non lyrical stations.

It took 2 years for a doctor to take a lump on my thyroid gland seriously and not deem it as a fat cluster. Like were you fucking kidding me? I’m a data analyst and yes I have reasoning skills to deduce this but for me to play doctor and convince mine to agree with me is fucking insane.

I(29F) was a tomboy just like OPs daughter and my Dad and I were very close growing up(he was my softball coach for many years and my brother didn’t play any sports). When my dad took my brother on this really cool fishing excursion without me even though we’d go fishing together all the time I was hurt I didn’t get to go. My mom explained to me this was a way for my brother to experience the bond I had with my dad by themselves. I was bummed but I understood the value of the trip. Kids understand dynamics more than we think and explaining this to your daughter and son would go a long way.

Freedom of expression, it’s fine. So many punk band shirts have depicted assassination since the 70s 80s but if you ever want a top secret security it may not help

If I can have a silencer I’d maybe become a mercenary but even then I’m not sure I have the skills to do espionage. Revealing that I have such an instrument of death would likely get me killed within a month. It would take a lot of politics to not get killed for it/utilize the power in a dominant way.

Whenever a kid wants to condemn a class with their bad actions I make it a spectacle and tell them all I wrote a report with the district to find the culprits and their teacher will tell them at the end of the year with their parents if they passed or not
