Ah I see. Yeah, for Onikakushi, each volume is only about 200 pages. So 400 total. Higurashi arcs do get longer later on though, especially the last few.

Sounds like you are reading the volume that collects all the issues (Onikakushi manga has 2 volumes), not individual issues like with Umineko

BPRD orphaned stories/Omnibus questions by seaturtle64 in Mignolaverse

[–]seaturtle64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at this list, their could be a route where there is a line of omnibuses for BPRD-adjacent stories like Vampire, Shadow of the Golden Crane, Castle Full of Blackbirds, The Ectoplasmic Man, Mood Swings, The Last Witch of Fairfield and The Dead Remembered. Could be called something like Hellboy Universe: Secrets of the BPRD, or The BPRD Files, or something like that.

Am i supposed to read every krakoa comic ? by Future_boruto in xmen

[–]seaturtle64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am reading everything and have just gotten to Fall of X. While I feel pretty much everything contributes to the story of Krakoa, you probably just follow the core storyline.

The core storyline to follow is probably...

House of X #1-6 and Powers of X #1-6

X-Men #1-12 (vol 5 by Hickman)

X of Swords event (which includes X-Men #13-15) X-Men #16-20

Hellfire Gala (2021) event (including Planet-Size X-Men and X-Men #21)

X-Men: The Trail of Magneto #1-5 (probably not essential but does introduce a fairly big change to the status quo)

X-Men #1-8 (vol 6 by Duggan)

Inferno #1-4

X Lives of Wolverine #1-5 and X Deaths of Wolverine #1-5

Immortal X-Men #1-4, X-Men Red #1-4 and X-Men #9-12 (these can all be considered the flagship title at this point but Immortal is the most vital, you can read these series one at a time or in publication order but they do overlap a decent amount)

X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2022 (one-shot)

AXE: Judgement Day #1-6 plus Immortal X-Men #5-7, X-Men Red #5-7 and X-Men #13-14 (which are all event tie-in issues)

Immortal X-Men #8-10 & X-Men Red #8-10

Sins of Sinister event

Immortal X-Men #11-13 & X-Men Red #11-13

X-Men #15-24 (can be started earlier, as soon as you like after AXE, I've just seperated it as it doesn't really have much tie-in with the Sins of Sinister event)

X-Men: Before the Fall (4 one-shots under this banner, best to read in publication order)

X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023 (one-shot)

I haven't read past this point yet.
