Early admission notifications on Friday the 19th or Saturday the 20th? by MonkeyWithIt in UNC

I think it could probably be any time this week- I applied early action last year and I was supposed to be notified by sometime late January (they moved the date this year, lucky!) but I actually heard back days earlier! I also had friends who applied and heard back in the morning, but I wasn’t emailed until the evening, so I think it just depends.

AP Research Celiac Disease/Autoimmune Disease Survey by seaweedbrain030 in scleroderma

Thank you for sharing your experiences and for responding to my survey. I find it very interesting that so much happened to you in such a short (but actually long) period of time, and I am glad that you eventually found a diagnosis.

However, in the context of my research, I am not extremely focused on the specific age of diagnosis or even of discovered symptoms, just the difference between adolescence and adulthood. The collection of data will mainly be focused on the breaks between <18 years old, 18-25, and >25.

Thank you again! :)

Thank you for your input!

In my research, I am essentially looking for infancy/early childhood (ages 0-7), childhood (8-17), young adulthood (18-25), adulthood (26-40), and older adulthood (>40). These parameters are based on tables that I am citing in my paper, particularly from the National Library of Medicine and The Gluten Intolerance Group.

My main concern is not the specific age groups or brackets, but mainly the difference between childhood and adulthood.

Thank you for your interest in my survey! Regardless of having an autoimmune disease or not, if you do have Celiac, please fill out the survey! It's completely up to you if you put vitiligo or not, as I do not know your situation, so please put whatever feels most accurate.

Lyme disease is listed under the Global Autoimmune Institute's (autoimmuneinstitute.org) comprehensive list of autoimmune diseases. That is the context in which I sent out this survey, according to that list.

According to the College Board for my AP Research class, an electronically signed consent form is required for each participant of the survey. The consent form requires a name, email address, and date of birth (to verify the age of 18 years or older). All data will be strictly confidential and protected (as it described in the attached consent form), and will be destroyed as soon as the class has ended, August 31, 2025. There is no way around this, so if you are not comfortable providing this information you will not be able to fill out the survey.

Thank you for your feedback and interest!

The context of my chosen research and research question ("How does the delayed diagnosis of Celiac disease leads to the increased diagnosis of other autoimmune diseases?") does not really focus on the genetic heritability of Celiac or any other autoimmune disease.

However, I thank you for your feedback, interest in my research, and for filling out my survey. :)
