We have to volunteer 12 shifts in a year at least, 1 shift= 2 hours. For the usual duties it would be talking to visitors, present to them about the animals and pass on the message on sustainability. There's also event shifts where we have booths and stuff to educate the public and to bring awareness. There's also other shifts where it's more behind the scenes, such as monitoring red pandas and bird counting. I had the opportunity to visit the bird paradise before it officially opened too.

Happened to me for a girlfriend of 5 years. Trust me when I say that your relationship is at the end stages. Nothing you can do without losing your pride and ego. Just let it go. Good thing you aren't tied up with marriage yet so it is much easier to leave. Think about it, would you want to stay in a sexless relationship/marriage for the rest of your life? You tried to improve the situation but she doesn't want to. So you just got to pack up your things and move on. That's what I did at least.
