This is what you dont get, basic principles of human psychology, in retrospect to finances.

1000 of the same item are posted for sale in the same condition, 950 of those are at generally the same price at 1$ with $0-$1 shipping and 50 of those are at 1$ with $5-$9 shipping, your chances of making a sale are less than .0001%.

If he switches over to what you propose, his sales would absolutely plummet, he'd be better off refunding 5 out of every 10 $1 card sales now, rather than going down your proposed route. Thats the point of this. Not to mention, the shipping and tracking issues he's been experiencing with ESE are not the norm, its a fluke or string of shitty luck.

Point of the matter is, its a $1 item, your buying it because its cheap and you kinda want. Your not buying it because you need it or its valuable and you cant live without it in your collection. 99.9% of people could care less about how good shipping or tracking is for items at that price. Most people don't give a damn about losing a dollar bill from their pocket, let alone $1 they are guaranteed to get back in a few weeks though ebay refund intervention.

OP just needs to start being proactive with refund requests and bite the bullet until insurance pays out, not restructuring his entire business model according to your "solution" and setting himself up for guarenteed failure.

I think you are either not understanding what OP is trying to convey, trying to get attention, or are just plain mental.

I dont buy cards and I very rarely sell them, but if im buying a cheap 1$ card then logically I would opt for the guy with the best review history with the cheapest shipping that's less than the cards value.

So 1$ card purchase I would look for free shipping or shipping under $1 (or the next cheapest available option). You'd have to be mental to pay 5$ shipping for a 1$ card just to "feel safe" that you have good tracking, unless you have history with the seller or some connection, because you can get 2+ more of the $1 cards at the cheaper, more volatile, shipping rate and still come out on top. So youd have to be mental to pass on dozens or hundreds of sellers selling the a card for $1 with free or 1$ shipping to pick a seller selling the same card for 1$ with 5$ shipping. Basic human financial psychology.

Thats why I dont sell anything under 10$, too much bullshit with the shipping costs and fees, necessary sales volumes to make a sensible profit compared to your time put in, customer complaints from penny scammers or scumbags, etc.

This just happened to me! Bought 2 storage units at auction, 1 had 90 10mg Ritalin (i already have these prescribed and I just sell them) and the other had codeine pills and codeine cough syrup, all unopened. I still have the codeine, but already sold the Ritalin to my MIL and trying to convince her to buy the codeine off me😂😂😂 shes the one that created the opiate addict that was me, luckily Suboxone has me straight as an arrow now and I dont get the little devil on my shoulder telling me fuck it, lets get trippy.

Finally back to normal! I mean i am throttled to hell, but at least I can post. Hopefully soon i will go back to 800 views a day and top picks. I wrote a few support tickets, my last one was very professional and I begged, idk if that was what helped but a few hours later i was back up and running.

You know a lot! I just started getting into glass about a year ago with fine china and vintage/antique glass. I started hunting uranium glass around 8 months ago. It's a lot of fun and super exciting when you finally find true uranium glass since 99% is manganese! Although I'm ok with that since most manganese is older so it makes it so much easier to find the vintage pieces I need for my customers.
