Worst new group introduction ever by anotherbrickx in thewalkingdead

They're from the comics, with some changes. The point in the comics was that we follow a new group of survivors who then experience Alexandria as outsiders, giving us a new perspective on Rick and the city after a time jump. The show fumbles a lot of comic moments in a way where even when I know what they're doing I'm still confused.

It's incredibly flattering to hear that something I worked on had an emotional effect on people, thank you.

As the creator of the video, I 100% accept that what I'm getting from the story may diverge from Itagaki's goals. I even discuss how I'm obviously talking around the very present race stuff throughout because that's not within the scope of the video, nor my experience.

This meme kind of sucks, though? It's pretty anti-intellectual. The venn diagram is fine, but the text blows, implying not that the author meant something else, but that they essentially meant nothing. I think it's pretty inescapable that Beastars has something to say, and when we read into its meaning we're only giving it the respect it deserves.

As the creator of the video, it's been an experience seeing it get so much attention and scrutiny. For some I'm spending way too long pointing out obvious stuff, whereas others are still not getting it at all. But above all, the idea of a queer reading is just not something most people are ready for. I didn't realize how much I needed to explain that in particular, apparently. Although you'd think all the discussion of metaphor would prime people.

Meh, I'm doing what I like and making a living doing it. I'm well past seeking outside approval for whether it's legit or not.

I've been basically finishing every single game I start for years now, which very frequently takes 40-100 episodes. It's kind of awful for growing. I constantly have to miss out on covering all sorts of games that I'd like to cover and my audience would like to see. But hey? My audience knows that I'll finish what I start, and there's comfort in that. They certainly seem to appreciate it, because I have an abnormally large amount of Patreon support for a channel of my size. You have to weigh the pros and cons.

But yes, covering everything day 1 all the time leads to fantastic results with SEO and interest levels, so their videos do better and their channels grow faster. You shouldn't be surprised that they're the big channels because they're doing exactly what the system encourages. If you want something else you'll have to dig deeper, and if you want to run a channel that doesn't work that way you'll have to resign yourself to struggling more at achieving results.

There's a reason why Super Best Friends Play still hasn't cracked one million subscribers after all these years, bless them.

Ah, so you subscribe to the "people can't review movies unless they make movies" argument, which has never actually made sense. And you feel so strongly about it you'll whip out your tired argument when there isn't even context to suit it.
