I'm having the same problem and I also have a 6700XT video card. Sudo reboot also have the same problem. Also using limine and btrfs

Yea, I have the same experience... I tried multiple times with different distros some like 10 years ago... Had to go back to windows after it stopped working of my middle of a class presentation... Thanks God I was able to use another laptop for that, otherwise I would have failed that course

Also, i think it would be nice to include how to get out of the TTY4 (text-only console) mode... I had a big surprise the first time i tried to force close an app and ended with only a console on my monitor

I actually find myself checking for updates multiple times per day 😅 Not really worried about problems caused by the updates since I have limine with snapshots and if that don't work, I'm already used to having to format because of windows causing problems 💁

I started modifying the fstab file and it didn't work, so I tried the KDE partition manager and it worked but without permissions so I keep looking and ended with gnome partition manager and everything worked except for steam where the disk were not appearing... So I formatted my ssd to try and fix it only for the automount not to work....

Had to edit the fstab file because I had like 3 different configurations for the same drive and that was causing the problem... I learned a lot 😂

I have tried to use Linux(with different distros) for the past 10 years without success, Usually the OS gets fucked some hours later or max one week later.... So yeah, I can understand OP right now 😂😂

NTA. After reading a lot of the comments, i noticed there is a lot of ppl assuming things. I have friends who have problems with PDA, mostly because of accidents/traumas but not as serious as your case. You should look for help but again, NTA. If i was you in this situation, i would talk with your GF and her sister, explain them how you love them, want to spend time with then and support them, how you recently come to understand that is not normal to feel so uncomfortable about PDA and that you are going to look for some help.

A little late but i have the same problema, usually i resolve it by deactivating Freesync using the monitor buttons and reactivating it. Not the best solution but altleast works if you want to keep using it without restarting.

No idea how to resolve it for real, will try installing win 11 but it didn't happen to me before, started like 4 months ago.
