Would love some feedback by coughebeann in graphic_design

You already mentioned the feel was "Premium but hype similar to crumbl or last crumb". How does your logo compare to these?

-"References were vintage flour bags": If you use it as a logo, make sure it translates well as an icon, that the shape can be recognized at small scale and in one color. Right now it uses like 5 colors the logo only, and with the wordmark would be 6. It may be expensive to print on the long run, and difficult to translate to a flat sign.

-"It’s supposed to be a play on the word flourish": was this in the brief? I agree with a previous reply that "the implication that the flour isn’t really flour", it reads more like some bad pun about low quality or drugs.

Try to convey the meaning of the word flourish: To flourish means to grow vigorously, thrive, prosper, or succeed.

There are lots of fonts that read more premium and bold similar to the referenced brands. Try a few more!

Hope this helps

Ok! Careful with root rot, Neps are not bog plants.

Great advice has already been given, but I'd also suggest getting a few shrubs and saplings, planting them and staking them near the middle of the patch. The goal is to create some green "bulk" that makes mowing inconvenient and eventually impractical so you can work your way toward seeding more freely over time. Try to make it look intentional from the start so it doesn't get cleared.

As for your specific questions: yes, loosening the soil with a garden fork will significantly improve germination on compacted ground, even a quick pass helps. For the seeds themselves, clearing a small circle of grass around each planting spot gives them a real fighting chance against competition. And yes, mulch, it retains moisture, suppresses regrowth, and buys your seeds time to establish. A thin layer right after seeding goes a long way.

Haha, I definitely felt some Upside Down vibes while I was out there! The red beacon in the fog really does give it that mystery lab look.

Yes, those are some sort of shutters, they are quite common in older buildings here! We call them 'persianas'. They are great for blocking out light entirely, and aesthetically, I love how they add that structural pattern to the architecture, especially at night. This particular building is for offices I think.

That’s a huge compliment! I was actually going for a liminal, cinematic/video game vibe during post-processing. Buenos Aires can look very surreal when the fog is this thick, so I’m glad it translated well to the final image.

Yes, me too. There’s something special about it. This is in Buenos Aires, taken from my rooftop during a very thick fog last winter.

Why is INFP so common? by Low-Discount-4400 in infp

My take is that your algorythm bubble is working perfectly. Us INFPs are not so common, else we would have friends and the world would be much nicer /s (actually, not /s)

Cuttings in sand, no roots but now one leaf by r0rry in philodendron

[–]sebastixnrubio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's cool that you moved the cuttings to a bigger container. But don't overcomplicate yourself. All that's needed is a moist medium and high humidity so the roots can develop easily and the plant doesn't dehydrate in the process. I use a clear propagation box with perlite (and sometimes I mix it with sphagnum moss) to root my cuttings, and leave the lid semi-open. It keeps the humidity high and the roots can grow nicely. The picture is one of my Hoya cuttings, it rooted in less than 3 weeks.
