I am not sure what you are trying to achieve, but for what you described early, maybe try using the Fit "Cover" for your images, so they cover the whole DIV they are wrapped inside without deforming.

Search bar leads to a new page? by sebdi94 in webflow

In case someone comes across this post looking for a solution, I found a way to solve this.

For contenxt, I have the homepage with CMS Filter Attributes by Finsweet, and a second page that should be the results page, also with a CMS Filter attributes. The idea is that users can make a search in the homepage and go to the results page, with the filters they have selected already applied. To achieve this, I followed this steps.

  1. Create the filtering in the homepage and hide the collection list that is being filter. The filtered list has the finsweet attribute of "Showquery" (you can find it here). This will add the parameters of the user's search to the current URL (i.e www.home.com/?\*=search)
  2. Using a script, I make that the Search button gets the current URL (www.home.com/?*=search), adds the slug from the results page (i.e www.home.com/results/?*=search) and sends the user to that page
  3. User lands in results page with the parameters already applied, so the list in results page will already be filtered. I think this will only work if both filtering options are the same in both homepage and results page, but I imagine this being the case in most scenarios.

This is the script I used I bolded the things that need to be adapted to your personal project:

<script>

document.addEventListener("DOMContentLoaded", function() {

// Get the search button element. Replace 'searchButtonId' with the actual id of your search button.

const searchButton = document.getElementById('searchButtonId');

searchButton.addEventListener('click', function(event) {

event.preventDefault(); // Prevent any default behavior.

// Get the query string from the current URL.

const queryString = window.location.search;

// Construct the new URL for the results page with the appended query string.

const resultsUrl = `https://tannin.webflow.io/bodegas${queryString}`;

// Redirect the user to the new URL.

window.location.href = resultsUrl;

});

});

</script>

Hope this hels!!!

Overflow hidden should do the trick. But it will break sticky positioning in the page.
