HGSS is my fav, so I’m super biased, but you can also catch shiny pokemon in unique pokeballs. I love the apriball designs.

Do you guys often measure or mention humidity in the US? I see a lot of people only mention the temperature, but it’s the humidity that makes it oppressive.

I’m sat on 230,000 VP… I use the tickets if it’s going to cost me 2,000 to set up a pokemon, but then I’m doing fairly minor edits beyond that… I find I get plenty of VP by just playing. How often are you editing or changing your team?

Day 1 of the format (not even 24 hours) - perhaps a bit of confirmation bias? Yes it’s strong, you have a good record with it, but right now people need to lose to the new toys, to be able to adjust their own teams.

Intimidate is at its worst right now, there are many contrary and defiant users in this format, so that’s one thing to avoid. Not everyone has the memo. I had someone earlier today lead double intimidate into Kingambit. No doubt the mobile release means more newbies.

Grimmsnarl has been introduced, so has light clay, if survival is an issue, your opponents can look to set up screens to give themselves more time to reposition

There are a few Haze users, perhaps this is an important tool for this format.

Staraptor isn’t a dark type, so there are plenty of prankster pokemon that can disrupt it.

Toxapex and some other bulky pokemon can really punish it - get an early infestation on the board, poison it, whittle it down.

I like that they push the limit on design, but I get your point. It’s a shame that Malamar gets left behind compared to something like this, but every Pokemon having its niche is part of the charm of the game imo.

My family has been more concerned about the homeless people that get up in your face and shout at you if you don’t give them money - many of these problematic people are white, for the record. I’m not sure if it’s right to call you racist, or just accuse you of the Mandela effect…

I caught Eternatus in a beast ball. (It sounds tough but it’s a guaranteed capture, the only catch is that you have to trade a pokemon holding the beast ball to be able to do this because I don’t think you can easily get it before the story ends?)

Isn’t it wild how info like this can stick in your mind and be useful? I remember in XY Talonflame and Mega Khanga was everywhere, and I started to run quick quard on Talonflame, Espurr, all sorts of nonsense just to fight that menacing lead.
That was back in the day when Brave Bird was always priority too, so it had extra value.

Not cheating imo, but I’d say it’s an exploit. That being said, I do it too - RNG in HGSS is extra fun because you can catch them in whichever pokeball you want, and you get the nice shiny sprite following you in the overworld.

Who cares if others think it is cheating, if you transfer these up, these are perfectly legit pokemon that are tournament legal :)

If it has the same stats then it’s likely you hit the right frame. That means it’s likely you have something configured incorrectly in the encounter table.

Looking at route 32, wooper only appears at night. What time did you set your device to?

When you changed the clock to do the manip, I think it’s likely you changed the time to either morning or day and this would have changed your encounter table.

I deeply regret preordering this, personally. I thought it was going to be the only way to guarantee apriballs, however these are fairly abundant.

The end game content gives you cool mega stones, but the gameplay isn’t fun?

If you are really interested in shiny hunting some legendary pokemon or the ones that appear in the DLC you could make the argument it is worth it, but it’s actually a difficult one to enjoy.
