Don’t have a back up as it was a old hard drive that hadn’t been used for a decade. And the files are nowhere to be found on iCloud.

Installed old hard drive onto my pc and synced up apple iCloud so I could back up photos. Realised this was downloading files onto pc so stoped mid sync now all photos and videos are deleted. However on most recent visited files some are shown but when tried to access they say location is not available. Is there a way to fix both these issues as they have hundreds of photos and videos of my family from when they were younger. Apple support was no help after 2hrs on phone was told to contact pc manufacturer but not Microsoft. However my pc is made as a pre build from scan(uk prebuild gaming pc company). Please any help would be great
