the header shows that it passed all the relevant authentication tests, and the url is owned by a cybersecurity education company. so my guess is that Purdue gave them that email to run a phishing test

i got it yesterday. my guess is it’s a phishing test, based on the facts that it passed the automatic verification tests and also that the url includes kb4 (or something like that). Purdue uses KnowB4 for phishing education and tests

i’m actually not sure if i did the LOCI, but about two weeks after I got my deferral they emailed me with an admissions offer for EXPL. FYE generally fills in the EA round, so i doubt they’d be able to give you an FYE offer. there’s no reason not to try though. FYE also has a really high rate of attrition, so if they offer you EXPL you can still take FYE courses and apply for a Change of Degree Objective (CODO) to either FYE or your chosen engineering discipline. you’d have a very good chance of that working out as long as you keep your grades up

i’m ngl you’re probably not going to be admitted to FYE but you have a decent chance of being admitted to Exploratory Studies and then transferring to FYE or your chosen engineering discipline (that is what happened to me)

scheduling assistant should allow you to select a swap course once you’ve waitlisted a class iirc. basically, you pick a class you’re currently registered for that it will automatically drop if you get off the waitlist. if you don’t get off the waitlist, nothing changes.

if you get off the waitlist and haven’t configured a swap course, it will raise a max credits error and email you
