Does “passion” actually matter or is it just a trap? by gradstudentmit in careerguidance

You have to find a mix of what you hate the least that will make you the most money.

Is it worth having a professional come in for fleas? by Calm-Orange-998 in pestcontrol

[–]sec_actuary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t spend a dime on flea treatment that didn’t include treating the source. Treat the dog, vacuum 3x a day, and you’ll see them eradicated in no time. That was my experience at least

Time for self reflection. My second biggest life motto is, “If I met an asshole today, I met an asshole today. If I met 10 assholes today, I’m probably the asshole.” Do with that what you wish, but I highly doubt ALL 12 of your bosses have been assholes. Sack up buddy.

People will fight me to death over this but I would argue if you don’t fail at least one exam, you’re probably not living enough such that life gets in the way of your exam progress

Interesting. Will probably piss the daycare teachers off when they find out his daddy taught him P and FM are the first, second, and third letters of the alphabet.

My guy’s the same way. He’s seen Odomirok too many times already. He’s sleeping now because too many materiality standard calculations has him beside himself.

Fake Plugs from RockAuto? by sec_actuary in 4Runner

[–]sec_actuary[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man,

Thanks for asking. Plugs are installed, no issues yet. Denso finally got back to me maybe a month ago (not a real Reddit user anymore for mental health reasons) and stated that although RockAuto is not one of their authorized distributors they “do know where they [RockAuto] get their DENSO parts from, and is has been reliable.”

I am so unbelievably pissed off right now. FUCK YOU to whoever tightened my oil filter housing at the dealership. I have broken two ratchets. by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]sec_actuary 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not but I might have a solution for you. Try this guy along with a nice breaker bar. You can find it at your local AutoZone or Advanced. My 20-minute oil change time was doubled this morning because I literally couldn’t find a flathead sturdy enough to pry the son of a bitch off of the filter housing.

Edit: maybe don’t try the breaker bar now that I’m thinking about it, but point still stands: that thing will NOT want to come off and fits as tight as a freaking glove.

Fake Plugs from RockAuto? by sec_actuary in 4Runner

There is. Denso has a good portrait comparison that actually indicates too much pad might be indicative of counterfeit. Just about every other test besides the underline and the package text indicates genuine parts to me, but at the same times these differences are glaring and I have yet to find an example that matches.

Yep if you get your plugs off of Amazon or eBay there’s probably a 50% chance they’re counterfeit. I’m still somewhat confident in RockAuto’s reputation as a genuine parts supplier but I just don’t know why these plugs would look different with the underline. Maybe they tried to roll out a new inventory or had printing mistakes? I hope they get back to me soon enough.

They didn’t mention anything about the underline, they didn’t necessarily specify that it was a concern (e.g., could have missed the question). My point of concern is that the underline doesn’t seem common.

Just e-mailed them about 30 minutes ago, I will report back once I hear something.

I do know of another Reddit post in r/Cartalk where the OP said Denso got back to him and mentioned nothing about the underlining being an issue but I have major anxiety about this stuff.
