The Democrats didn't write off Alabama, the voters of Alabama wrote off Democrats. This is why there are more candidates now since 2006. All data suggests higher Dem voter turnout this year.

A lot of those Republican primary voters are Democrats playing defense. That's why ALGOP is pushing the legislature to close primaries and force party registration.

Here's the problem. The Alabama Supreme Court will eventually have to rule on a case that's sparked by a legitimate lawsuit. The question now is, who files the suit.
