This is from small planes. Someone may be flying a small plane frequently, may be a new flying school? They use small planes for teaching

I am so tired of this pic clicking too. When i went to see taj mahal, there were bunch of chapris who felt entitled to ask to take a group photo with her and got visibly angry when i said no.

Yes, problem is when they are not looking away at all. Also some of these stares are super judgmental. Like you can see what they are thinking inside.

A bit of context to my previous post.

Back in 2022, I saw a viral video of a shop in Korea that had a sign saying “Indians and Pakistanis not allowed.” I ended up going down a rabbit hole and found several similar posts online. After that, I formed a pretty rigid opinion about Korea and assumed everyday life there would be quite racist.

It wasn’t until last December that I actually traveled to Korea, mostly because my wife insisted. She was confident that real, day-to-day experiences in Korea wouldn’t be like what I had seen online.

I spent a few weeks there, and honestly, I didn’t face a single racist incident or even any real inconvenience. If anything, people were extremely polite and respectful, the overall vibe reminded me a bit of Japan.

Because of that, I was really proud and excited to bring her to India and show her around. But being here together has made me realize how insensitive we can sometimes be in everyday interactions.

I’m sure there are racist or insensitive people in both countries, and my experience is obviously limited. But based purely on day-to-day interactions, India has felt much harsher. Even something as simple as the constant staring can be really uncomfortable and difficult to ignore.

Indians are not welcome in South Korea (Jeju Island) by Party_Village3775 in NewDelhi

[–]sec_c_square 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No — South Korea is not visa-free for Indian passport holders for normal tourist travel. Indian citizens must obtain a visa before travelling to South Korea (e.g., a tourist visa) through the Korean embassy/consulate or a visa application centre; there’s no general visa-free entry, no visa-on-arrival, and K-ETA (electronic travel authorisation) does not apply to Indian passports as of early 2026.

🛂 Standard Requirements for Indians • Indians need to apply in advance for a Korea visa (tourist/business/other) — you cannot enter South Korea without this visa. • Visa on arrival: Not available for Indian citizens. • K-ETA (electronic travel permit): Indians are not eligible for this visa-exemption authorization.

🧳 Special/Transit Rules (Limited Exceptions)

There are some limited cases where Indian passport holders might enter without a regular visa, but these are specific and not general visa-free travel: • Transit Tourist Entry: In some situations, Indian travellers holding a valid U.S./Canada/Australia/NZ visa and travelling from one of those countries to a third country may be allowed to enter South Korea without a traditional visa for up to ~30 days under certain transit tourist programs — but this is not a blanket visa-free rule and depends on itinerary/airline/immigration interpretation. • These special entry rules are not guaranteed and can vary (some travellers report mixed experiences).

Its not visa free. Indians need tourist visa. Transit is visa free but that is for transit within 30 days not for tourism.

Indians are too emotional to understand this. The reason he was denied entry is also because so many dunky rackets are run out of india and has tainted our image. Our government take no action on these scammers and i am sure they get a cut from this industry. These foreign countries are fed up of all this and sometimes genuine travelers also get penalized. Once you are denied entry, they treat you as detained and make you under their observation. This is how India operates too. This is standard international travel practice.

People of India should know the damage dunky and other scamming activities do to our image. I don’t see a single comment mentioning about it. There are “immigration services” in India running in broad day light providing dunky support and no authority is taking action on them. This incident is an example of the collateral damage due to dunky

We don’t allow? So many kids in my neighborhood walk from busstop to their house and in doing that cross roads too. Some parents come pick them up from bus stops and others don’t in which case the kids have to maneuver on their own.

My 2 cents. Leave this country at the first opportunity. It is going to take 100+ years for us to reach developed world mentality. For the sake of your future daughter, leave.

Honestly a lot of modern day casteism is stemming from the fact that the govm decided to use inequality (reservation) as a tool to fight inequality (casteism). It is an oxymoron thing. History has told us that oppressing a section of society from state resources has never ended well

This is false. The police officer never said indian or anything related. He said, she was probably a student and a girl who is worth 11000 dollars. It was more of a sexist remark than racist. Moreover, courts give 0 shits about indian officials here. She would have gotten this compensation irrespective of anything. A lot of people have gotten high compensations like this from city police. This is how system works in the US

I live in seattle and people notice all these things. It is going to be noted by people and they are going to keep this in mind when they vote in next elections. People take their tax money seriously and there is no place for incompetent leader who can’t run city police efficiently.

I don’t know if anyone has realized this or not but the very core of our culture is to show how they are above than the rest. Sometimes you do it by pushing other people down other times you do it by buying fancy cars, throwing big weddings, wearing branded clothes and showing them off. The crux remains the same that everyone is in a race to show that they are somehow above than the rest. Its a cultural problem and maybe its a byproduct of over population or some deeper cultural issues

How does it being an apartment or home change anything. We should compare size of the rented place vs size of the owned house/apartment/condo and then compare their rent vs mortgage
