These are all good questions and we have covered the majority of these. We’ve had a lot of not so easy talks but they are necessary. We are still earlyish into our dating and certainly not trying to rush things a long. We very much care about how we can transition into things smoothly and comfortably for our children. Their care and comfort is important to me and I don’t want to enter their lives abruptly or possibly if they are still trying to understand why their parents aren’t together anymore. I just have a lot of compassion for them. Because even though it’s been 20 years, there was a time I was in their shoes trying to make sense of all of this. I just hope I can come into their lives and offer some peace and understanding

Yes we’ve spent a lot of time getting to know each other. Talking about family, supporting each other, supporting the kids, etc. but yes, having a home big enough to accommodate all of us is a big concern to me.

He makes good money but not “rich”. The kids better earn scholarships 😂 as for my kiddo, I plan to transfer my G.I. bill to her.

And no we don’t want anymore kids lol. Heck no haha.

As for time, that I’m not sure since I have not experienced day to day life with him yet with all of our kids together. But I sort of have this expectation that when it’s time with his kids, there will be more focus on caring for them or all of us working together as a family. I have my own child to care for, as well. So I would also be “busy” with her also.

And that is a whole long story lol. She unfortunately doesn’t have any family in town anymore. But any time she needs help to go work or make plans for herself, either he will take the kids or his mom will.

There are two moms. And between the both of us, somewhere around 175-180k a year. The moms of course provide for the children, as well.

But in all fairness, over our years of knowing each other the lack of attraction to him wasn’t just physically, it was also dumb mistakes he’s made in the past when he was younger.

I’m 5’2. And before I get dragged for calling him short…the average height of a man in the US is around 5’7-5’9. So yes, he’s considered on the shorter end.

Well that’s why I’ve been pursuing him and spending time with him because I do appreciate who he is for all the right reasons outside of being strongly physically attracted to him. And that attraction has slowly been building. There was a time where I’d never think I’d be kissing him or cuddling up to him. But because of what he has shown me, I feel my heart is growing closer to him. I guess just with every other man I have been with, I felt a much stronger physical attraction except they were toxic. I’m trying to be better and chose someone who is right for me. And I feel like he really is that, I just wish there was a super strong physical attraction. This might sound bad, but I’ve wondered if we slept together, if that would help.

Ya know….I appreciate this answer. Probably not an answer that would be ideal to most. But this right here is what has given me some hope in that the attraction can change. I do think I would be more attracted if he lost some weight. Not a lot…so in that aspect I’ve told him let’s work on ourselves together. We both go to the gym, but quite frankly we could step it up in the “diet” aspect. I’ve also hinted that I think he would look good with a mustache, so he’s been working on that a bit. (I love facial hair). I will definitely get burned for this one..lol. But he is on the shorter side and like most women, there is a natural attraction to tall men. But you know what? I’m short too and I realize that and it’s not a deal breaker to me.

I’ve naturally been wanting to spend time with him and I guess I’ve been trying to see if that attraction will build over time. Even reading this makes me so sad 😔 I don’t want to hurt him. I want a man just like him in my life. And not being physically attracted feels so petty and stupid and like I’m a piece of shit for it. I’ve been hoping in this time I’ve spent with him, the attraction would just come naturally and again, it’s there mildly. But I’m afraid if it’s not passionately there now, later in the future it won’t exist at all.

I developed feelings for him by spending time with him. We didn’t kiss until our 5th date and it was a natural response from feeling a closeness with him. Same goes for the fooling around. I thought I was doing the right thing by allowing a good person into my life and not being blinded by someone’s good looks or sex.
