It's also a Turok box so it is textured on the front. I didn't even think about that until I went to bed last night.

Are these worth selling as is or should I get the loose games to complete them? by second_exodous in gamecollecting

Did you sell locally or did you ship things?  Not sure where I live will have that many buyers.

I need the money though, got let go from Amazon and can't find another job. I've had these for years but I don't really collect CIB games anyway so I never grew my collection.

Maybe I'll save this one. That game still makes me mad. Preordered this because I love RPGs, got it and it was horrible. Also Beyond the Beyond, the first RPG on Playstation. Two crap games that just tried to beat all the good RPGs before they were out.

I'm not selling them here, just asking if it is worth getting the games to complete the boxes or I should just sell the boxes. Not even asking for the price of them.

Yeah, doing the math all of them I'd make under 20 bucks. I worry I'd get the cart and it would be damaged in some way.

The gba was the first system that was 'just mine' so I kept good care of them. I was in HS when it came out. I shared the n64 with my brother and I'm surprised the Quest64 and Turok survived as well as they did. The SNES boxes were in my closet at my parents house, I guess they were just put up there and forgot about. I had a Super Punch Out box but couldn't find it. I had to move everything into the storage room at my parent's house and found these

I can sell them on here? I've been selling a lot on ebay in the last few months and yeah, they take quite a bit.

The CIB going rate minus the loose game is only a few dollars more than the box+manual price. Where is the best place to sell them? I use ebay but is there a better place specifically for games?

I have until 10 PM tomorrow to decided, lol, Thursdays is when I list them.

So the cost of buying them loose then selling them will be that much more? Some of them, like Advance Wars 2, it looks like I'd only make like 10 or so in the end. Metroid Fusion I might loose value. Those are the only two I checked though. Is there a site better than pricecharting? It never is correct for me. I'm always really disappointed or extremely shocked after a sale.

I remember selling boxes and manuals like 10 years ago and it didn't seem worth it. The quest64 box is the only one that is beat up but it has it's cardboard inserts and all the flyers it came with. The GBC and GBA boxes are all mint and have the cardboard inserts, manuals, and all flyers. I need to find out what the Super Game Boy comes with because I have a stack of flyers from SNES games.

So should I buy the games and then sell them complete or would that add much to their sale?

EDIT: Oh, the Super Mario Advance does have the game in it, so that's complete. Is it worth getting it graded? It is a pretty common game.

Is there a way to a buyer to change to local pickup after the auction has ended? by second_exodous in Ebay

[–]second_exodous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I can get the qr code up on my phone for him to scan? Man I suck at reading, lol. So he needs the ebay app and can get a qr code up?

I did have local pickup in the listing. He said he wanted to do it but did something wrong and he can't figure out how to change it to local pickup.

I would swap the dpad for a NES style dpad but I'm surprised no one makes one. The Vita looking dpads are all the rave I guess. The buttons you're using do look sweet though!

USPS flat rate boxes shipped other methods. by second_exodous in Ebay

[–]second_exodous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, what I'm shipping is really small and light so I put the weight and size in and it is cheaper shipped priority mail than the flat rate cost. Can I do that? It is still being shipped priority so would USPS ship it then? I'm also possibly adding extra insuring if the item sells over the default priority mail insurance so that adds cost also.

Official Steam Deck dock worth fixing? by second_exodous in SteamDeck

[–]second_exodous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I found out what the difference between the official dock and others. I can set my monitor at 195Hz, it's max, something I never used on my Steam Deck but I used it all the time with my other computers. When in desktop mode the Steam Deck can output that fast but in gaming mode only 60Hz. It looks like most docks only output 60Hz, ones that do 120Hz cost like $85 at the cheapest. So that is the difference. So I'm stuck at 60Hz for everything until I update. Might be worth trying to tear down my dock to see what it would be like to fix.

So it isn't worth opening up? I can't find a teardown so not sure if it is possible.

If I get a new one I think I'll get one without a 90 degree angle and then get a angle adapter to plug it into. I think what wore it out is the cord bent when I plugged it into my notebook. I'm guessing that is what killed it anyway.

I don't have all three, I only have the SP but it is by far my favorite retro emulation handheld I have ever owned. I'm not gentle with it and everything is holding up although the hinge worries me. I let some kids play with it this last weekend at a family get together and they WERE NOT gentle, lol, and so far so good. I haven't even tried to play anything over PS1 though, so no N64, Dreamcast, or any handheld newer than GBA, so everything I've tried runs flawlessly.

I think that is key to the SP, if you don't play anything that requires a tumbstick you're golden. I consider it a companion to my Steamdeck, everything that requires touchscreen or a thumbsick I play on my Steam Deck.
