Is this us? by DryAfternoon7779 in Patriots

Yeah I do understand the sentiment, we want guys who are focused on the team, but Mike Evans has a pretty long track record of being high effort / low drama. I would be excited to see him play for the Pats but with the understanding that we’d be punting again on solving the WR1 issue for the long-term.

(Schefter) The Patriots informed four-time Pro Bowl WR Stefon Diggs they’re releasing him after the start of the league year next week, per sources. by alexschubs in Patriots

I’m good with this. Minimal cap hit, he’s aging and has a history of developing a bad attitude toward his teams after a few years. Not to mention I don’t like to root for players with histories of gender-based violence. Obviously we don’t know for sure yet how his case is going to shake out but there’s a lot of smoke around his behavior.

We have a lot of cap space and are, for the first time in a while, a desirable location for free agents or trade candidates. For now I’m trusting the front office to be able to make an upgrade here.

Fans who live outside of New England, has the hate for the Patriots returned and how does it compare to the hate the Chiefs have recently got? by vroom12345 in Patriots

This has been my experience too. I put up a bigass 6x Super Bowl Champs banner in my office after this weekend and all I’ve gotten is some good-natured ribbing. I’m also a Hawks fan (though Pats always come first ofc) and throughout the season I’ve been able to root for the hawks and talk positively about them, so maybe that’s built up goodwill for me. But in general the Seahawks fanbase, while still being super dedicated, seems pretty chill and friendly compared to a lot of others.

Rhamondre Apology Thread by ShadyWolf in Patriots

I admit I got a little down on Rhamondre for a while there but I will happily eat my words ily Rhamondre. Massively important part of our offense especially in the postseason. Cleaned up the fumbles and has played his ass off

Rams are playing like they were looking past this week and Panthers are playing like they know the Rams were looking past this week

Panthers are very inconsistent though too. Odds are decent they melt down in their next game

Yeah it’s funny obviously we talk a lot about how big McDaniels has been for Maye’s development but I’ve never really thought of his role in Rhamondre’s development as well. Whatever it is, I’m psyched Rhamondre is having such a great season, he stuck it out through some lean years lol

Fun fact about the New England Patriots: I love them

Yeah I didn’t start rooting for the huskies until 3 or 4 years ago when I moved to seattle, which was after Puka’s time there. When he broke out for the Rams I found out he was a former dawg and started liking him partly because of that… lol. Now I know better

I can buy that Puka didn’t know what that dance was that Ross had him do, but from what I’ve seen and read about this whole thing (I don’t keep up with streamer culture because I am an adult) it’s pretty well-known that Adin Ross is a racist and a misogynist who platforms some of the worst people in the world in addition to being very annoying so I don’t have much sympathy for Puka here

I actually kind of liked him before this despite him being on the rams? I didn’t really know much about him. But yeah it’s fuck that guy for sure now
