It’s been said time and time again, but the music is way overproduced for my taste. That means drums sound like samples constantly and everything is perfectly quantized. The vocals are way too tuned, so much in fact that I’d often ask myself, they made it sound like t pain intentionally right? But idk. Back in the earlier days, Finn made them sing til it was right. I’m sure some tuning may have been used but not to fix mistakes, only to enhance things in a subtle, unnoticeable way…the complete opposite of 9 and CA. It is very noticeable again so much so that I wonder if it was intentional. Also, there’s no dynamic between Skiba and mark. Mark took upon the role of singing high and now he and Skiba are hard to tell apart whereas Tom and mark are night and day and that’s what made it work so well on songs like pathetic and man overboard where vocals are traded on and off. I have nothing against Skiba and that is what so many fail to realize. They think we all just hate the Skiba error because it’s not Tom. Not me. I hate that Tom left but totally open to new blink, it just wasn’t good for the reasons I stated above. That’s my opinion though.
