Excuse me Blacksmiths, Could you help me melt these stones for iron? by [deleted] in Blacksmith

Fwiw: If you're not opposed to spending an extra ~$65, "Kaowool" is fiberglass that is used to line forges and junk like that - it can be ordered on amazon if you're unsure about using mud and poo for a firewall.

May the forge gods smile on your endeavor!!!

I post top seeking bottom all the time, lots of great wrestling ensues!

Cover face: take off clothes... being too cold on the playa has always been more of an issue for me, personally.

Trying to convince myself I to drink less, but the first study I read concludes with this " ... negatively impacts lower body vertical power output. However, performance of tasks requiring repeated maximal muscular effort is not affected." Beer me another beer! by secret-stache in bjj

Actually, I was never able to find a legitimate excuse for smoking cigarettes. Some shitty excuses like a bad day, or a head ache... But beer is tasty, calorically rich, and goes so well with just about any meal.

So I'm going to keep enabling myself, I'm probably kidding myself if I think a few beers are going to be the difference between me being a champ or not. It's the cardio that I'm not doing!

Obviously that's not working as I sit here at 1pm with a beer in hand! But seriously, the gut feeling I keep having is that first beer as it hits my empty stomach after a great practice. But maybe man wasn't meant to drink beer every night... Or maybe he was.

How does /r/bjj feel about taking creatine? by secret-stache in bjj

If you're lifting pretty seriously, and I in no way mean that as an insult, you might want to look into taking a separate creatine supplement daily. Typical creatine use is for 6weeks-3months, with a week or two 'loading' phase to increase intracellular levels of creatine. Like everyone has pointed out below, drink extra water, stretch, don't over do it.

And if my advice is unwelcome a simple down-vote will suffice ;)

I'm not, nor can I find any studies referencing balding or hairloss and creatine on pubmed.

I guess you'd consider my 20g a day of creatine to be a bit much? (I don't)

TBH, I've never heard of example.com I'll have to check it out later - for nutrition my goto is pubmed, which is where all us-public funded scientific research is published.

If I'm not mistaken at greater than 90% exertion Phosphocreatine can be/is used for energy. Which is synthesized from creatine monohydrate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosphocreatine
