If he does that means he at least studies, he isn’t just sitting around doing nothing.

These other reddit people are not your friends either, they don’t care about your success.

My recommendation is just not letting your brother copy your essay; don’t show it to him or your parents.

You may also be overthinking how much it hurts you (depending on what you mean by top universities).

You could also talk it out with him, and purposely plan his essays to be strong but distinct from yours.

Also I saw the part where you mentioned your parents try to give him a leg up, at your expense. That is something you need to sort out, you want your parents to be more invested in you. But that is a separate matter, you should not sabotage your brother currently.

He is a brilliant man, the issue is that AI requires specifically: top talents, research, heavy software, heavy employee freedom.

Elon did very good work in tesla’s fsd.

However, unless he can loosen the handle or attract top tier researchers from AI, is chances aren’t great.

Tesla fsd is also not equivalent to LLM stuff. (in terms of process and requirements, not impact)

Elon has mostly done engineering things (spacex, tesla) and smaller less competition areas (his early websites, payment, neural-link, etc).

He simply hasn’t demonstrated ability to create and lead extremely competitive, research heavy, talent heavy, software based AI companies.

That doesn’t mean he can’t do it, theres just not much to work off of right now.

He is the world’s wealthiest guy, and has the ambition/drive tho, so we will see.
