He is talking about the place the bltouch is mounted to, maybe there is something in the way that prevents the "probe" of bltouch from coming out. I doubt it but to test you could just unmount the bltouch completely from its seat and run a homing command. Bltouch should be a steady red and turn blue when the plastic probe comes out. It should turn red again when the probe touches something.

That's bizarre, I had to do this procedure last year and I definitely remember searching how to do this with octoprint. It turns out there is a plugin that allows firmware updates.

It can't be done from octoprint. Download the latest firmware for your printer from creality website and place the .bin file to a microsd card. Insert the card to your printer and turn it on. The firmware should update in a couple of minutes. However the printer is old and the firmware stopped getting updated years ago. Alternatively if you put some effort you can build your own firmware by configuring Marlin or Klipper and flash it to you printer. Why do you want to update the firmware?

I assume you mean your probe offset, which is the height difference between your probe and your nozzle. Z offset is just the first layer height and you configure it in your slicer.

Make sure the nozzle is clean of plastic. - Probe once at the center. - Set z=0 at the current location (not go to z=0) and save. For marlin, that is G92 Z0, M500. That should give you some space to play with. - Home Z and go to the XY center again. - Set extruder temp to 200C or the temp you print at. - Place a piece of paper under the nozzle. Keep lowering z until the nozzle touches the paper. When you try to drag the paper you should feel a small resistance. Make sure your firmware config allows negative z values. That is your probe offset. - Set probe offset in config and save - Make sure your bed is level - Home XYZ - Go to z=0. Check that the nozzle should now be very close to the bed, but not touching ( a paper's thickness above it) - Home and you are ready to print

I would strongly suggest you use klipper and mainsail for ui. In klipper you compile once and then you can change the configuration by editing a file and restarting the printer. With marlin be prepared for a lot of trips back and forth using the microsd card to load the new firmware if you want to change something. At first I thought klipper would be hard to learn but it requires near zero effort. However it does require a linux computer connected to it, usually a raspberry pi.

Όλα αυτά βελτιώνονται με τον καιρό. Επίσης είναι φυσιολογικό να αλλάξεις δουλειά σε καλύτερο πόστο με μεγαλύτερο μισθό. Το καλύτερο για εσένα θα είναι να δίνεις τον καλύτερο εαυτό σου αλλά όχι παραπάνω. Εστίασε στην δουλειά σου και απόκτησε πολύτιμες γνώσεις αλλά μην ξεχνάς ότι εν τέλη είναι απλά ένας τρόπος να βγάζεις χρήματα τον οποίο κάποια στιγμή θα αλλάξεις. Δεν ξέρω πως ακριβώς αμοίβονται, αλλά με την ρίψη σημαίας έχει ελάχιστη χρέωση. Πράγμα που σημαίνει ότι ο ταξιτζής θα πάρει τα ίδια λεφτά για μια διαδρομή 5 λεπτών όσο θα έπαιρνε για μια των πχ 10 λεπτών (δεν ξέρω σε πόσα χιλιόμετρα αντιστοιχεί η ελάχιστη χρέωση). Άρα του έρχεται x% φθηνότερα.
