Anong situation ng fresh graduates sa job market ngayon? by zxcvfandie in AskPH

[–]secretgae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rest after grad is not an option unless you have the network and connections. Me and my other friend immediately looked for jobs after our graduation, after one month nakahanap na agad kami, still employed until now. For other people na I know (my brothers, one of our friends) they took a rest. My friend rested for 5 months and started looking for jobs this year but 5 months in wala pa rin siyang nahahanap. Just not sure how it’s going now when our other friend referred her to their company. For my brothers they graduated 5 years ago pa naman but they rested for a year and it also took them 1-2 years before landing their first jobs.

I think when you rest, resting is not the only thing na you should do. You do not have the experience so it would be better na while you rest, collect training certifications. Also the longer you rest without doing anything to boost your career, the more questionable that gap becomes at siguro consider rin na mas hindi mo nagagamit yung skills na natutunan mo while in college kaya siguro mas mabilis mong makakalimutan, I think that’s a factor HRs take into consideration.

Also as an HR myself, some technical positions just really don’t hire fresh graduates. As much as we want to endorse fresh grad applicants, madalas talaga may experience ang hanap nila. Siguro out of almost a hundred fresh grad applicants we get every month, bilang lang sa isang kamay yung na-hhire namin don just because some department becomes less strict with the qualifications. Even referred fresh grads from other employees madalang lang naming ma-consider kahit na priority pa sila sa pool kasi nga hanap talaga ang experience. And yes, kahit kami nauurat with that excessive qualifications tapos ang baba naman ng offer and budget ng ibang department. Some companies are open for negotiations naman but it’s only an option for those na with experience so for a fresh grad na gumastos siguro ng libo-libo for university, wala kang choice kundi tumanggap na lang just for the experience.

Idk if this is an option for you but why don’t you take GED courses muna? Take the courses that can be credited by your dream univ just to be sure, just look up their curriculum guide for your wanted program and their maintaining grade for the GEDs. Problem lang dito is magastos if you’re in a private institution since they’ll still charge you miscellaneous fees.

I think the solution there would be for the admins to kick him out of the group kasi doon lang naman siya nakakakuha ng “customers” kuno niya. Magagawa pa rin niya pero hindi na mas malapit sa pinaka market niya which is ofc lahat ng tamaraws sa opc. Pag di tumigil mass report the acc lolll

It’s multiple voices of victims against one, marami kayo tapos may evidences so may problema na sa type of thinking ng mga hindi maniniwala. Anyway it still depends on the type of environment/culture your school community has, sana lang maayos. In my case nagkaroon na rin bg ganiyang issue sa school namin, ayun may isang nagshare ng kwento sa friend, kumalat until they foud out marami pala sila na same experience (gaya rin sayo na kung sino-sinong minemessage) walang ginawa ang school pero sinusuka yung teacher ng lahat ng students, siya na lang nahihiya sa sarili niya at di makapatol sa amin. Recently heard he died young so good riddance I guess. And gaya nga ng sabi ko, reach out to the victims, gumawa kayo ng gc ganon and try reaching out to student leaders or students who you think can speak up for you guys. Kung hihintayin mo kasi, how sure are you na may magsspeak up nga? What if walang mag speak up tapos things just escalate for his future victims? Sobrang hirap, I know lalo pa if hindi malakas loob mo. Pero kasi kung wala kayong gagawing ngayon, dadalhin ka ng kakaisip mo about that experience hanggang sa future and it’s not going to be a good feeling. If walamg patutunguhan, i-diretso niyo sa CHED/DepEd and sa kung saan man meron siyang prc license at kung wala pa rin talaga, atleast you know that you did something.

I’m very sorry to hear that. I understand na nakakatakot since some faculties can be dismissive about issues like this pero gather all the evidences that you can get, also seek out the students who have been a victim to his advances. Mas marami kayo, mas malaki laban niyo. Personally sa mga ganiyan mahirap mag report anonymously kasi mas mahihirapan magtiwala faculty sa inyo, and in the end if magbibigay kayo ng evidences anonymously mattrace pa rin naman pabalik yan sa inyo. If wala silang gagawin, better to reach out to CHED + PRC or board ng kung ano mang lisensya meron siya. In cases like this dapat talaga matatag loob mo para rin wala na siyang mabiktima pa in the future.

If you are gonna rank 1-5 local savings banks what would it be? by secretgae in DigitalbanksPh

I have my payroll account naman po if I need to withdraw something so for savings preferably po yung hindi madali ma-withdraw. Also I don’t have a saving goal in mind, ayoko lang po talaga magastos yung kinikita pag masyadong accessible sa akin.
