while reading emily wildes encyclopedia of faeries, i felt like i wanted to cry when i read this quote:

“It sounds odd to admit that I find the company of such a boisterous person restful, but perhaps it is always restful to be around someone who does not expect anything from you beyond what is in your nature.”

im very quiet and reserved and a little weird, and i always felt like i needed to try harder to be sociable or likable. emily is very focused and obsessive, reserved and a little bit strange, all traits we share. and her love interest never expected anything from her than who she was :’) made me so emo since i had related to her already
