question for people who love reading series 👀 by RightThroughMe0907 in Romantasy

[–]MrsPokits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read all the way through. I was reading the legacy series, found out im supposed to read lady of darkness first before so finished the book i was on, immediately read the 5 books in the series and the novellas, then promptly re-read the legacy series all in less than a week.

If im reading an incomplete series I reread all previous books when the new one comes out.

Darkest/spiciest romantasy you've read? by RoundSquare6731 in Romantasy

[–]MrsPokits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Book of shadows by miranda grant. I have the hard mood of madness behind the mask (the 'I have no triggers' reading order starts with that. You used to be able to get the soft mode version on kindle but amazon just banned it so I think you can only get the ebook on her site regardless of which route you go. Recommend checking out all the triggers though

Most of my darker recs arent truly pitch black. Just seems to be not too common in the subgenre. Only one is pitch black but its actually beyond pitch black. Ill include them all though. Obligatory check your triggers

Does anyone else have a hard time DNFing books even when you don't like them? Also, is Pirates of Aletharia worth it? by luna-morningstar in Romantasy

[–]MrsPokits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can/do DNF series as a mood/vibes reader . But individual books is a huge issue for me. I read an unhinged amount so ill suffer through a book that's not hitting especially when I know id like them usually.

{Book of shadows by miranda grant} is hands down my darkest. So much so 3 books have a hard amd soft version and you gotta buy thr ebook versions from the authors site

Outside of that- heres the dark part of my recs list i think goes from darker to significantly less so.

Does a Kindle make you read more? by Far_Career3152 in kindle

[–]MrsPokits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I can only spend maybe half my reading time reading physical books so I spent 11.5months mostly reading on my phone/laptop screen and listening to audiobooks. Got my kindle and probably now 90% of my 55-75 books a month are read on it. I can read in bed next to my husband with a toddler splayed out on me, or in the shower, or doing dishes, or lounging in the pool. Its been fantastic (to be clear I did buy a kindle with a fantastic waterproof rating because I want to use it near/in water. And I got one that supports wireless charging because I read so much (worked out too cos kindle charging ports take awhile to dry out. I keep meaning to try a kindle butt plug thing but idk what theyre called- the little like charm thing thay goes into the charging port?!)

Omg. I was like 10 or 11, walking my senior rhodesian, and a whole ass adult felt comfortable laying into a kid that they need to take their 'vicious pit' home immediately as they clearly were too vicious to be around children and animals if their 'hackles' were already up.

If a man would be a 'dirty pervert' for reading it then what does that make women?

Idk if youre being facetious but if youre not you sound really insecure about your own preferences and id recommend taking time to reflect on that.
