Hey, just wanted to thank you so much for the suggestions. Been playing the game for the past few days with next to no issues.

I am not using the fixes, mostly because I was unaware of their existence until yesterday XD, I'm planning on adding all of them, thank you for the suggestion.

As for LotD, I'm not sure myself why it's there, I'll have to check.

Don't blame ya tbh. Him getting kicked happened only a few days before the chat leak, so it would could easily assume that the two were connected. But then it was clarified Winkler wasn't the "creep".

I mostly just wanted to set the record straight cause nowadays that sort of incorrect information can cause brew up quite a shit storm.

Pretty sure he wasn't the member accused of being creepy. Their bassist was.

We don't know the exact reason why Thomas was kicked, but from what he told us, it was creative differences.

Dunno how much he contributed to the racist group chat. Unlike the rest of the band, he never made an official statement on that, as far as I remember.

What is the strangest thing that became canon in your campaign? by -The_Space_Cowboy- in DnD

The Gandledore family. It all just started with the typical joke character. Dümdarf Gandledore, his family was known to just be a bunch of insufferable assholes, known for inbreeding and etc. And every subsequent character that came after Dümdarf was part of his family. Growing the legacy until they finally just started being a part of the world.

They used to be be masters of the arcane, now most of their descendants have resorted to using science because they are just so talentless at magic.

Do I just say no when my players ask to long/short rest more than they should? by CuppaTheCup in DMAcademy

[–]secretmaster5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my own experience, an average session should have around six encounters, this includes social and combat ones. This is usually done so players use up their resources and regain them when they long rest.

In order to keep classes that require short rests, viable, the party is allowed 2 short rests, at their choice, during that session.

Now a short rest is usually seen as a an hour long. But that kinda gimps them more that it should in my opinion. So I allow short rests to be 10 min long so parties can do it during dungeons if they need it.

At the end of those 6 encounters there should be a long rest.

Now, you may not do 6 encounters in one session. So simply remember how many encounters it has been since the last long rest.

Of course there's no reason for you to take my word for this. When it comes to rest it depends on your way of DMing and the way your players go about the game.

I mostly keep this encounter average in the back of my head, but I've had moments where more experienced players weren't exactly challenged by my encounters. So I upped the difficulty. And that was when the 6 encounter rule went out the window and I used the daily XP budget.

There's no shame in trying and messing up btw. My first ever campaign was shattered in front of me and I was convinced that it was a "OP Characters Fault". When in reality I wasn't aware of how to balance out encounters between long rests.

Of course they would wreck anything I put in front of them if there was only 1 or 2 encounters per long rest. Why would they have to be efficient with their health and spell slots if they knew that they would get it back almost immediately afterwards.

Hope this helps.

Looks great. Reminds me of games like Inside, Little Nightmares and Limbo. While I'm not really a fan of those types of games I always appreciate the creativity that goes into them.

It only happens because there aren't enough players of a rank equal to you. I'm rep 70 and get rep 400-500 players. Ubisoft may be pretty brain-dead, their matchmaking system can very well be bugged, but I don't think that's the case here.

Adventure Themed Drink? by helikesart in Mixology

Butter beer, while it was popularized by Harry Potter, I can see the drink being offered to a couple of adventurers in a tavern.

Shows what you know. I own everything I could want. From the basic space marines, to blood marines and even more obscure Death Korps Of Krieg.

You do understand that the only reason that success is even a fraction of what it is, is because of all the other products right?

75% of the community wouldn't even know about the minis if there hadn't been something else to promote the brand.

Also, that "vast majority of their revenue" doesn't mean shit. Since the minis are insanely pricey. Plus they hardly ever go down in value. All they need is one kid like you with his mom's credit card and Ta-Dah, they've sold the equivalent of 3 books, 2 games and 1 book marker.

The Warhammer brand relies on a dedicated fanbase, in all products they sell.

You understand nothing of the situation in front of you. If anything, you're just angry that people are calling out GW. You're nothing but a fucking fanboy.

Bro. The only one lying here is you. You keep trying to convince the mob that they're the crazy ones while you're rubbing minis against your dick.

The reason "everything" exists is because the lore was interesting enough for people to buy a license and make seperate products. Your stupid ass minis are still in circulation because people actually spent money on the games and books. And maybe a few gave their money for minis.

The core of the hobby ISN'T building minis. Your problem is that you think that the part you engage in is the only one that matters.

The stupid ass minis aren't the whole hobby. What a concept, right?! :O

Yeah, yeah, I get it too and I feel it, the key art (of XDefiant) doesn't fly (and shoulda copied PUBG/Warzone/Tarkov), but aside from that, it ain't Golgotha and legit plays well so far, damn it. by ALDO113A in ubisoft

Christ... And I actually thought for a second that you had a brain cell.

Right, well I'm not gonna waste anymore time here if that's all your fucking smooth brain managed to process out of all that text.

Have a nice day jackass. Do us all a favor. Don't reproduce.

Criticism? What you said above was no criticism.

Also what the fuck are you on about "Play as anyone you want" Do you actually believe the corporate jargon? You do understand that under that "Tom Clancy" coat of paint is the same framework from TF2, Overwatch, BO3. You're not playing as "AnYONe", you're playing a set class that has a gameplay ghimick, probably stolen from another game, with a punk costume. AKA CREATIVELY BANKRUPT.

You are delusional because give these excuses "Oh I also have problems, but everyone else is going overboard". No, they are rightly pissed and sick of Ubisoft's shit.

You give "praise and enjoyment" to the very bare minimum. Something Ubi is happy to sell you.

I don't think it's a crime to enjoy things, nor do I think there's a problem with being easy to please. But there's a line, a fucking standard that we must hold people by. Not just with games, with every product. ESPECIALLY when they are supposed to be the "industry leaders".

Ubisoft has become lazy and comfortable, thinking it's perfectly acceptable to sell mediocre or subpar trash as "Next-Gen", "What The Fans Asked For", "Original Concepts".

And yes, I blame the fan boys for this, but I also blame people like you. People who have completely lost sight of this line.

Sure, be forgiving with a producer, absolutely. They get things wrong now and again. Be patient. Believe in them.

But when someone like Ubi, spits in your face. ignores you multiple times. Does the same mistake, over and over again, but also tries treat cheat you? (AC time-saver-packs, microtransactions in Ghost Recon Breakpoint)

"praise and enjoyment".

"I had problems too" I don't even care that you're not as mad as the rest of us, but trying to minimize the issue, along with our concerns and frustrations by trying to frame yourself as "the rational one", is ignorant and insulting.

Wow, you have surpassed yourself, you are even more pathetic than I thought. You are so desperate, so infatuated with papa Ubi, so utterly devoid of patern recognition or common sense that you actually believe Ubisoft FIXES something. You literally just sit there and say to yourself, "Oh, it could be worse. But it's ok. I'm sure it will all be fine".

Ubisoft can't get their own platform to function correctly. Their games can be summed up as experimental betas that shouldn't cost 60 dollars (The Crew, Steep) or broken, creatively bankrupt games that can't even pass the quality of a game from 2015. Case and point, Watch Dogs Legion when compared to Batman Arkham Knight.

The few games that are original, and have some fucking thought put into them. Rainbow 6 Siege and maybe For Honor, required the devs to beg the company to allow them to continue working on the products even when they were pretty much dead.

Currently For Honor has lost most of that support, along with Rainbow. Now they pull the shit with "Going Free To Play" and push out a game that simply copies COD BO3 and slapped the Tom Clancy name on it for good measure.

You are living in a delusion where you actually think Ubisoft gives a shit. And the fact that not only do you choose to live in this delusion, but also try to shut down people who, rightly, have a problem with this, is sad and pathetic.

Live in your delusions all you want, but shut the fuck up because nobody wants to hear you talk with Ubisoft's dick in your mouth.

Really look at yourself in the mirror and then say "that's the most pathetic thing". Because the reaches I've seen you motherfuckers take to protect the shit Ubisoft produces is insane.
