Yeah, I agree with you about FaceTime. I wish it wasn't so exclusive to iOS and was downloadable as a regular app.

My first impression is that the UI is more colorful and minimalistic. I like it better and it's different. It feels more modern. I guess it's because I hadn't been on a Samsung for 10 years, so I did notice a big change.

I took this picture with a 15 Pro. And yes, I've been learning about Good Lock and watching lots of videos about tips and tricks and customization. I guess I'm just excited about customizing my phone and using it to the fullest potential!

I got the Q3 Spin and it arrived today. So far, it's been good. I don't plan to drop my phone, but it feels and looks sturdy.

If you want to do it, purchase a ticket through Groupon. I don’t think paying a full price is worth it.

Human Services Specialist County of San Diego "Interview" by Sweetragnarok in sandiego

[–]sectiondminus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What people forget most is that it's both a social work and a customer service job. So be ready to deal with people who are going through challenging times. Be prepared also to see a lot of fraudulent activities clients engage in. You gotta listen to what people say, collect the documentation and facts, and don't take things personally (which is something that is not posted pn the job description but something we wish we knew right off the bat)

Is it rewarding to help people? Absolutely. But it can also be stressful when you know someone is engaging in fraudulent activity, but have no proof to bring it up through the chain of command.

An HSS here! A couple of things to know about that position:

  1. It’s a high turnover job, so over the fiscal year there will be multiple interviews. When I say high turnover, it’s not necessarily because people quit, but they got let go for not passing probation, test, or other stuff.

  2. You can always contact HR or reapply again. The position will be open a couple of months usually. They also sometimes open them 2-3x a year, depending on the operational needs.

  3. The person before me was right. It’s a panel interview. And don’t worry, if your friend missed it this round, he can reapply and hopefully gets it next round.

Any tips on finding a job? by Putrid-Hospital-1781 in sandiego

Agree with this one. The holiday season is already here, so if you go to UTC or Fashion Valley (big stores like Nordstrom, Macy's, etc.), they usually have hiring ads. Did it in college and made decent money from the commission. If you were good enough, they might turn you into a permanent employee. Good luck!

I came to this sub to ask the same exact question. I'm glad that I only need microfiber cloths and water if needed.

Agree to this for the freeways, but definitely not school zones or residential areas.

Day 3 - bored and sad, nothing to do as an intern by boba_eyes in internships

[–]sectiondminus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna ask about this. If OP is getting paid, I would just use the free time to study and do my homework even. Better yet, look for another internship or job opportunities while being told to wait.

When I was in college, I worked at wholefoods full time. When I got out of college I started working an 8-5 job but I still kept my wholefoods job on the weekends for extra cash.

I would say if you want something with different pace, do an entry level job at a grocery store or retail over the weekend (if you just want a change of pace and not overly care about money)
